  1. i know your original posting was a year ago now, but still, if it helps anyone else, here are a couple of questions i was asked at a recent Band 7 interview. i didnt get the job. was a bit of leap of faith anyway, im only band 5 at present. ----------- if the CQC made an unannouced visit, how would I deal with it? what action would I take? i found out the answer to this from the 'interview panel' AFTER the interview, - i should be totally profesional, be polite, ask them for ID, then invite them into your office if possible, offer them tea or coffee, excuse yourself for a moment, while you go and find the nearest person to spread the word to other departments. this gives these other departments chance to be prepared for any possible chance inspection by getting skeletons put in closets, making things as tidy as possible in the limited time they may have. ------------ if an SHO phoned in sick, what would i do? if they phoned in sick then i have to respect that. i would then need to check any available staff list of contacts to see if any replacement is available to come in at short notice, or see if they can come in as a 'swap' shift for another day, or see if any other SHO's who were working in another area that day were available to help out in covering the shortfall for this other area as well. i was asked 2 other questions as well, but i cant recall them. i hope you find these useful. In return, PLEASE if anyone else has questions they have been asked at a band 7 interview, then please post them on here. even if you dont know the answer, i will be able to research that bit myself. i will need them one day for when i apply to my next job. thanks
