    Drug computation Help!

In my own opinion, I would recommend Kaplan and Lacharity. Kaplan question has the same way how the actually NCLEX questions are being asked. Lacharity is a very good choice for practicing Prioritization and Delegation. I didn't answer the last part of the book which is about Case Study. Because it is not the way how NCLEX questions are being asked. So I prefer focusing on the first part. And dont Forget to Pray!! :) Good Luck! and God Bless :)

    Drug computation Help!

Lol! I had like 4 computations, 2 of those took me like 10 mins each to answer. That's why i consumed almost 2 hrs to finish 75 questions. haha. Where did you take your exam? I think California doesn't participate in Quick results. So maybe I have to wait like at least 2 weeks for the official result. BTW, I've read some of you post from other thread that you passed already! CONGRATS :clpty:

    KAPLAN confusion

I would pick letter D. They will discuss test taking strategy in 8 days, which is very useful. They will also discuss content, but it will be thru online videos. I also recommend you to use Lacharity to enhance your Priritization and delagation knowledge. Its up to if you want to read cover to cover or not, if you are already feeling confident with your knowledge. As long as you Answer questions everyday. Kaplan Questions are almost the same with the actual NCLEX exam. Good luck! you can do it kababayan :) Dont forget to Pray! :)

    Did I Pass??? PVT

I used Kaplan Course to prepare for my NCLEX. I would say, MOST of the topics you need to study are already in Kaplan Course ( they will provide you a study plan which is very use full ). It would be better if you enroll for their LIVE classes. They will teach you how to answer questions (Decision Tree), even though you dont know the topic, it gives you a high percentage to pick the right answer which help me a lot. Also Kaplan Questions, i would say it is 90% close to what really NCLEX questions are ( TRUST ME ) :) . My Questions were more on Prioritization, Delegation and Infection control. I used Prioritization, delegation and Assignment by LaCharity for these type of questions. I didn't focus on the last part of the book which is more on Case Study. Because it is not what NCLEX questions are being asked, but somehow it might help for additional info. Give focus on the first part of the book and i recommend you to list activities that can be delegated to LVN and NA. I had also Pharmacology questions. Regarding this one, again , I used Kaplan. The good thing about the Kaplan book latest edition, medications are already classified and sorted for you to easily study and memorize them. Be familiar with suffixes and prefixes of the same meds ( one of the techniques tfor easy memorization ). I learned all of it from Kaplan Course. Before I attended Kaplan course, I was using Saunders. The book is very useful if you wanna feed your content knowledge. But in terms of questions from Saunders, I would say most of it are easy questions. So its better to practice question from Kaplan question or Lacharity. Just answer questions every day. Practice Practice. And don't forget to Pray :)

    Did I Pass??? PVT

what i heard is, you have to wait for 1-2 weeks before the official report. I hope we both passed it, because most of the post here that who had a GOOD POP UP passed the exam. So we must keep on praying :) BTW. Do you know someone who also took nclex here in California who had a good pop up, waited for 1-2 weeks and passed the exam? If does, no doubt we passed it :)

    Drug computation Help!

Thanks for the reply! Actually i just had that question this morning when I took NCLEX RN. I was so so so worried about that because it was 74th question and I had an easy question for the 75th which is only asking for S/S of Hypothyroidism. Which made me think I answered 74th incorrectly. Then the exam stopped and when i went home I tried PVT and GOOD POP UP came out. I hope i passed it and I have to wait for a week or 2 for official result because California doesn't participate in quick results. I think i did the same thing.. because what i did is 50ml / 45 mins = 1.1111 And it told me to answer it in a whole number. so my answer was 1.

    Droplet Precaution! Help

Hi Guys! I am currently studying for my NCLEX RN examination. I am using Kaplan book and questions for my preparation and I am kind a confuse in some of the points in Droplet Precaution. I learned from the content that Pneumonia is PART OF DROPLET PRECAUTION, but as I answer many questions, I encountered lots of questions about it with different type of Pneumonia. Such as Hemophilus Influenza type A or B , Pneumonia S. aureus , Pneumonia cystis jivoreci etc. I reviewed the rationales and some of them are required to have Droplet precaution and some are Standard Precaution which made me CONFUSE. Can anyone help who knows exactly which precaution to use?

    Infection control NCLEX.

Hi guys. I'm kinda confuse about infection control. . i know in Airborne you have to close door and has negative pressure and wear N95. Droplet you must be 3 ft away from the patient wear mask and googles ( doors can be left opened) . I'm concern about Contact precaution, i know you must wear gloves and gown, BUT I DONT KNOW IF I AM GONNA LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN OR NOT. Please help! Or any infos you can add?
