  1. But anyway I'm going to schedule my test since they will just need the ATT and proof of identity on the exam date. Thanks again you guys!
  2. Thanks! I kinda even thought the ATT was the ultimate proof of eligibility
  3. thanks guys!! i really appreciate your replies
  4. I just want to make sure I don't make any mistakes. Just got my ATT through my email, and also got the Acknowledgement of receipt of registration from Pearson. But on the NCSBN website it also said that I should also receive an Eligibility letter from the Board of Nursing. And that I shouldn't schedule my exam yet unless I get these three. Does the eligibility letter come in regular mail of through email too? And how long does it usually take? I hope I'm not missing anything because I know I paid $91 online at Continental Testing, then the $200 on the Pearson website, and mailed fingerprint receipt. Any clarification is much appreciated. Thank you!!
  5. I looked up those links and they are amazing!!! I bookmarked them so I could go back easily whenever I want to :) Thanks NeatNik!
  6. Before classes ended, one of my teachers offered to give me a recommendation letter when I need it. (I graduated recently) But at the moment I'm still in the process of getting my NCLEX. My question is, should I contact my teacher so I have the letter in hand "just in case"? Or should I wait when I start applying for jobs? Other question: I have been searching on various hospitals on job postings and I also bookmarked pages on nurse recruitment staff. I want to email them and ask questions like, if they have a current nurse residency program, or if they hire new grads, or other questions about unit preference if they do have nurse residency programs? And other general questions. My concern is would that seem very informal for me to email now, when in the future I plan to apply at that certain hospital?
  7. thank you sooooo much for all your replies! I appreciate them so much :) I am looking through hospital websites in my area that have nurse residency programs because I feel like I need more experience other than the clincals in school but I didn't realize even searching for those are not easy! so I guess I have to focus first on passing the nCLEX!
  8. I just graduated from an associate's degree. I plan to take the NCLEX within the next month or so, but now I am already thinking ahead of how to increase my chances of getting a job. I don't have any experience at all, except for the clinical rotations I had in school and I'm afraid my resume won't be very exciting I've been browsing online in hospital websites on job postings ans it's very intimidating to see the qualifications like "experience preferred" and I only came across one or two "new grads welcome" but only in OR which I'm not too excited about (although I'm thinking of grabbing whatever position will be open as long as I get a job) Should I look for externships even though I am already a graduate? (I wish I knew about these when I was still in school! :hdvwl:) Would that up my chance a little bit? Or should I just go ahead and send resumes anyway and hope for the best? Hope anybody could give me suggestions what steps to take?
