  1. Thanks for the tips. I checked on it and unfortunately there are no hospitals listed for my state.
  2. Good luck to us we just have to keep trying i guess. I have my ADN and I was thinking of going back to school for my BSN but i guess it really doesn't make a difference.
  3. No its not Henderson Community College its Honolulu. I've tried LTC, clinics, local hospitals you name it I've pretty much applied everywhere.
  4. Hey everyone, Its been 8 months now and still no RN job offer. I feel so frustrated and depressed because i keep getting rejected due to lack of experience. How am I supposed to gain experience when no one wants to hire. I'm reaching my breaking point and just wanting to give up. But i really do want to be a nurse. Don't know what to do any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh and one more thing i wanted to add. I got offered a medical assistant job but quit in two weeks because the workers were very unprofessional and i felt bullied. The MA's kept referring themselves as nurses and i was so annoyed. But i questioned myself if it was the right decision to make. If i kept the job i wouldn't be jobless.
  5. same situation here I've applied pretty much everywhere but no offers. Its really frustrating. Good luck to us.
  6. I'm not really sure now which one to accept. I've been looking for RN position for over 8 months now and i'm offered a temporary one but if that two months is done i'm back to looking for jobs which pretty much everywhere requires at least a year experience. I really need some income that i'm willing to take any lower positions..
  7. thanks everyone for the insight...
  8. I don't think it could lead to a permanent position. The position is a medical record review nurse where they only need you for 2 months its the HEDIS evaluation thing..
  9. Hey everyone i have a dilemma.. I have my RN license and I got offered a Medical Assistant position at a clinic and they might potentially hire Registered nurses in the future but don't know when that is. I also got offered a Registered Nurse position but its only a 2 months temporary assignment where i review medical records for the HEDIS evaluation project.. Which one should i take..help:rolleyes:
  10. Hi there I was in a similar situation. I am a new grad and landed a job in LTC. I only lasted about 3 months for the same reason. I had orientation for 2 weeks and it was going alright until they put me in another floor where i had to learn new faces. They also had me on night shift where i had to take care up to 50 residents. I didn't want to risk my license. I left on good terms and now i'm struggling to find another job:confused:
  11. It's really tough here in Hawaii. I live in Honolulu and I've been searching for jobs for about 8 months now and still jobless. Pretty much they are looking for experience..
  12. I applied pretty much everywhere and they need experience. Thank you for the encouragement i need to stay positive..
  13. I'm on the same boat.. I got my license in July 2010. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and its a tough market out here too. I'm working with a home health agency but its on-call and i work only 2hours per week:confused:..Hopefully will find something..
  14. Hi everyone..I'm a new nursing grad. Graduated in May 2010. I've been feeling discouraged lately because I can't seem to find a job and I've been looking for over 8 months now. I am so frustrated and depressed at times. I've applied for lower level positions but they won't hire me because i have an RN license. I am constantly on-line everyday sending out resumes...I live in Honolulu, Hawaii where they call it paradise but it ain't so for me.. I need some encouragement:confused:. Anyone out there feel the same?
