I am Mike I hace been a LPN for two years in LTC and Psyche nurse for a treatment center for behvioral problem DD Teens. I am In school for my ADN @ Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO. I am also a husband and father of three, (5,3,1 1/2) set to graduate in Dec 07.

I need help with a care plan for a 28 week pregnant with a diagnosis of placenta previa who is starting to have spotting on a peri pad and is seeking prenatal care for the first time. I have come up with a nursing DX of Fear r/t threat to self and fetus. but I am having trouble coming up with goals and expected outcomes. Please any help would be awesome. Oh yea I am a male LPN trastioning to RN, with only student PN OB clinical exp.

I am 19 days away for gradution from LPN School and we have some people in class that all they talk about is the money, They scare me! Dont get wrong a paycheck would be wonderful and help pay bills. But My heart leeps when I get to Discharge a Pt to home and knowing that I help in their healing process. When a Pt says thank you for helping that is why I am becomeing a nurse. A Pt the other said to me that she thought I will make a great nurse it brought tears to my eyes and all the sacrifice and time away from my kids was worth it all. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE PtS! right?thanks for letting me share with all of you fine folks.

Northeastern Junior College in Sterling has a good LPN program. Its cost about 1600.00 a semester (970)-521 6707 if you have questions. Im currently in the program and it been challenging so far.
