science classes (AP Micro Patho, etc) are worth 2 points and general ed classes are worth one point. go to the nursing office they have forms that explain exactly how they calculate your total score. if i am not mistaken the point system has just recently changed.

The Kaplan book itself is useless don't waste your money. There really isn't a book that prepares for the Kaplan. If I could describe the test, either you know it or you don't. The Math is very easy the science is the hardest part. I spent countless hours studying for that exam and none of the books I had were even close to the format of the exam. I know ppl who are in the program got an 89 on the exam and never opened a book.

Hello Mommies! I am 25 with two kids, well sorta...I have a 4yo and one in the oven due anyday. I start NS in 6 weeks and I am very excited yet nervous at the same time! My daughter is very independant and it has been awhile since we've had a baby around here! My husband, grandma, and mother plan on helping me as much as possible. The best piece of advice that I was given recently was "JUST DO THE NEXT THING! Don't Stress over changes in schedules!" Good luck to you all during this next school year!

In my acceptance letter it doesnt mention anything regarding that form. Did you get in at Clinton Twp or a different campus?

:DI got mine today as well!!! My girlfriend got her's this week too!! We both got in!! Such a relief!!

I took the Kaplan in May and applied for this fall as a new applicant. Even tho "technically" overall GPA doesnt matter- bc it depends on the class you received the A- in. Certain classes are worth different points. My overall points were 25.8 and the only points I lost was due to the Kaplan. I have spoke with Karen G twice now and she has given me the same reheorificed speech both times. Average on test was 70% anything over that was considered great. Cut off last time around was 25.4 and she was going to "try" to have the letters mailed out the first week of August. Both times I talked to her she literally gave me the same line "you are well positioned go home and relax" followed by "but i can not promise you the moon". She also told me that they conduct criminal backround checks on all applicants which also prolongs the process. I was also told by a student that u needed a 26 to get in and she literally laughed at me.

What campus are you applying to? At Clinton Twp the last Kaplan Test Date was May 21 and apps had to be in by the June 31st?
