  1. Hi- can you share what the schedule is like during the week? Like- what hours more or less can you expect to be in school?
  2. Hi everyone- I just read through this entire thread over coffee this morning! Let me introduce myself. My name is Jeanette, I'm a pre nursing student In Miami. I've take a few classes in Edison while living in Cape Coral a few years ago. Most of my family lives up there. I'm a mom and wife and school had been very part time for me. I'm not getting any younger (29) and I really want to just finish school, so after discussing some options with my husband, moving to my moms temporarily to finish school up there may be the best bet. I'd have the support I need with the kids etc. I know most of you have already began your program and I just wanted to get some feed back as to how it's going, what's your schedules like? I was initially looking at the part time program, but since my husband would be traveling up there for weekends, I understand weekends are clinicals so full time day may be my best option. Only class I'm missing is micro, my gpa is 3.25, I've gotten pretty decent grades on all my pre reqs. I'm taking Chem this coming spring (although I noticed that's not a pre req). Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also- any advice on which study guide I should purchase for the HESI would be great as well. ☺️ Thank you all in advance.
  3. Hi Vanessa, Have you gotten any feedback on this yet? i'm currently doing my pre reqs at MDC but may have to drop my Anatomy class due to a family emergency. I'm scared it'll bite me in the long run. I'm hoping to get into the MDC program.
  4. No idea how to message on this thread. I apologize in advance for being a rookie. lol
  5. Thank you for the positive words. I will def email you. I have SO many questions for anyone who has already gone through the journey that i'm currently embarking on. Chirino also? Small world. :)
  6. Uh oh. lol Thank you for the heads up! I want to avoid putting myself in a financial hole by attending Nova or Barry. Have you heard anything about the Key's college program? I've done some research but cant find anything solid.
  7. Hello all, I've been sitting here for the past hour or so reading everyone's comments regarding the anticipation of receiving an acceptance letter to the excitement of being accepted. I am currently a student at the Homestead Campus doing my pre reqs for the nursing program. Initially, I had plans to do my pre reqs at Dade and apply to Nova, after considering that I'm a mom and the best option is to get my associates then do a bridge program online for my bachelors, I've decided to stick with Dade. With that being said, I have some credits that I do not need and am basically starting from scratch. as of right now, my GPA is 3.7 (just about). I'm taking Mat1033 now and will begin my sciences next semester. I am hoping to get into (when the time comes) the generic program at homestead. Does anyone know how they determine which campus you go to? Do you request that? Also, any tips or suggestions or recommendations for teachers would be GREATLY appreciated. Again, Congrats to everyone who was accepted and or has already started. -Jeanette
  8. Hello. How are you doing the pre reqs online? The keiser in miami said that is not allowed.. That would make life so much easier.. I want to attend Keiser for th RN program, however; the hours make it very difficult.. Single mom, full time employee.
