hi there, i recently spoke with someone in the post-bacc program that began the nursing coursework in jan. (i believe she graduates in dec. 2012.) she works full-time and is a mom. the time designated to completing the pre-reqs didn't seem to be problematic for her (the first 1.5 years). however, she recently emailed me and said her one recommendation is to work part-time, if possible, during the nursing classes. this isn't possible for everyone with financial obligations like mortgages, etc. if you really want to pursue nursing and are offered a spot in the next cohort i would not pass up the opportunity if you are truly dedicated. i would say just plan to be very disciplined, proactive and busy for the next 3.5 years (especially the last 2). i wish you the best! j
