  1. evlu22: thanks! yes; i sent the intent to enroll form, etc. and am all set. megstudent7: thanks for the kind words! i agree with evlu22, i think they are sending them in waves. i also had to make my decision by may and the orientation is not scheduled for awhile. best of luck to you!!
  2. i got an acceptance letter, too! like you, i wasn't expecting hear until june and am thrilled. the admission statistics indicate it's pretty competitive (i think last year 145 applied and 32 were accepted) so there is no way i would turn down the opportunity! i feel very fortunate. looks like we will be in the same nursing cohort... nice to meet youj congrats!
  3. hi there, i recently spoke with someone in the post-bacc program that began the nursing coursework in jan. (i believe she graduates in dec. 2012.) she works full-time and is a mom. the time designated to completing the pre-reqs didn't seem to be problematic for her (the first 1.5 years). however, she recently emailed me and said her one recommendation is to work part-time, if possible, during the nursing classes. this isn't possible for everyone with financial obligations like mortgages, etc. if you really want to pursue nursing and are offered a spot in the next cohort i would not pass up the opportunity if you are truly dedicated. i would say just plan to be very disciplined, proactive and busy for the next 3.5 years (especially the last 2). i wish you the best! j
