Yay! CONGRATZ! I work in the ER at Aria and they do hire nurses with just a diploma and ASN. I don't know anyone that went to Abington, but I do plan on getting my BSN when I am finished with my diploma... Did you get accepted into day or night?

You'd be surprised! I've read through some of the old Abington posts and people that were wait listed got accepted a month or 2 later! Wait listed is better than rejected :-) did you apply to day or night?

Just got my letter!!! I'm accepted into the day program 2013!

I am! I have all my prereqs done except statistics and I've taken my TEAS so I'm hoping to get in for next year :-)

So yesterday I was rejected from Roxborough :-( my TEAS score was too low (61.3).... Now I'm feeling completely discouraged and lost. I'm going to apply to Montgomery County Community college on May 1st, hopefully they'll take me. I really wanted to get in this year :-(. Just don't know what to do.....

I haven't gotten accepted into the nursing program.... But I'm not giving up! I spoke to ***********she advised me to retake the test which I will be doing soon.... I was told the score they are looking for is about a 70 :-)

Yes I did finish all of my pre reqs, I'm just taking the extra classes to raise my GPA

Thanks :-) I did take all the necessary prerequisites I'm currently taking child psychology and a computer course to raise my GPA, if I get 2 A's that would raise my GPA to a 2.84

CCP stands for Community College of Philadelphia, and I did think about my future when taking those classes but after dealing with the death of multiple family members I had to withdrawal from classes and even though I submitted the requested documentation the school still did not accept my withdrawals which affected my GPA. You should assume people don't take their future serious.

hello all, i currently have a 2.68 gpa at ccp, and i'm feeling a little discouraged right now, i've completed all my pre-reqs and now i feel like i will not get into a nursing school.... has anyone gotten into any nursing school in philly with this gpa or lower? please help.... ~discouraged prenuring student
