Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
Hi Nazmeen!! Welcome to program! Please double check with an advisor that you can change your section, I swore I read somewhere that when you choose a section all should be the same..like you should choose all 601's or all 602's. Your class times will clash, like 181-601 runs into 183-602 class time..just offering some advice so you dont miss out on the section you truly want..

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
i think it comes down to a personal choice, as long as you have one i don’t think professor would care if it was $25 or $250. from reading reviews you get what you pay for on a cheaper steth, there has been insistences where a student can have errors on their care plans due to missed diagnosis because they did not hear properly or weren’t able to differentiate between lung sounds. however, some do just fine with the cheaper stethoscope. perhaps, when your at the store "test drive" the different models and see what you prefer.

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
from my history of tracking this forum, everything can be purchased in the uniform place which i believe is still belle uniforms in paterson, in our next packet of information there will be an order form with what is needed along with prices. even though the stethoscope can be purchased at belle for $25. i've read that is it of lesser quality and you may want to shop around for a better quality, perhaps take advantage of all these cyber deals. also, my real name is erica and i am looking forward to meeting everyone is a few weeks!

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
from my experience last semester, i got my letter in the mail the day after i saw it on web advisor..so everyone stalk their mailman today lol i don't get my mail till 4ish here also, i had to decline my acceptance last semester because my due date was in october and i couldn't fathom doing clinicals 9 months pregnant. my declining opened the door for someone else..do not get discouraged many have to decline or don't make it in officially due to various reasons... how is everyone else prepping? i read on this post and in syllabus that we need to pass pharmacology math test in nur 182 to even do clinicals, have to pass with a grade of 80% or better..i ordered the book to start reading.

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
Nancy, when you log in to Web Advisor go to "Prospective Students" menu and then click on "Admission Status" which is under Admission Information and you should currently see "READY TO TEST- NET" once accepted to program this would say ADMITTED instead and the date would reflect the change. Maybe by this time next week we should hopefully see this! I am ready to see this so I can schedule CPR class, I think they have very limited classes come December.

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
it is an extremely competitive program to get into, which i find good to a degree. i originally applied to day/fall but had to decline. now i hope i get accepted again, i did all my pre-requisites and now anxiously awaiting the final decision. from my knowledge, a good hesi score & gpa coupled with being a bergen county resident really ensures you a spot. i don’t qualify for financial aid, so i am most likely getting a loan. anyone else funding the semester with a loan? how is the loan process with bergen?

I also no longer have the book, however I did not use it either and I got an A in the class, professor went over chapters via PP taken from textbook, so to study for test all we needed were those PP handouts.

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
i'm deciding if i can afford spring semester or will need a loan (i don't qualify for financial aid). can anyone tell me approximately how much a semester is at bergen (nursing courses only)with cost of books if possible? thanks!

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
if you were accepted, with a good hesi score, and are indeed an in-county resident and have a good gpa. i believe your chances of getting in again will be good. i had to decline fall and will re-apply for spring, but was assured i'd have good chances of getting in again based on all of the above. i'm actually going to retake the hesi as i messed up on math because of the calculator issue, so i will retake to up my hesi score the second time around.

Bergen Community College Nursing Program Question
Since my Hesi & GPA are high enough, I was told to reapply again for Spring and will have a good chance of making it in again. I do not have to redo the background check or Hesi. (Unless I want to retake Hesi)
