  1. Help! I'm having trouble with confidence in clinicals. I do great in the class portion but once I step on to the hospital floor, all of a sudden I feel lost. This is my 2nd semester of classes & the first semester of clinicals in the hospital setting. Is this confidence & applying knowledge going to come eventually?! I also do not have experience in healthcare.
  2. I learned that exact mnemonic in anatomy class! Just getting back into that material, so thanks for the reminder.
  3. I just finished my third day of clinicals (first rotation) & negative emotions just hit me like a wave today. I've been busting my butt this first semester of classes & am sitting at a 92% in the class. That's all fine & great but I feel like I've lost the rest of my life. I no longer spend time with family, friends, exercising, relaxation, etc. I always feel like there's more studying I need to do! How do I accomplish feeling some balance in my life?! On another note, I'm just generally not feeling confident in clinicals. I know my skills but I for some reason freeze up even on SIMPLE things! I know deep down this isn't an issue of my competency, it's my ability to feel confident & comfortable in what I'm doing. Please help with some words of encouragement!
  4. I'm doing well in my nursing classes because I'm busting my butt to EARN my grades. Work hard & STUDY. I know you might feel in a pickle but honestly, no one wants a nurse who cheated their way through school. I guess I don't have any fancy tricks for you other than do your reading, study hard, & practice your skills. What you learn or don't learn, is entirely based on your actions.
