  1. North Florida pays was not that good. I was offered a FT job at 16/hr. I make that in Ohio and the cost of living is less. I changed my mind and didn't take the job.
  2. I've been a Nurse since 2011 and the pay I got then was 16.50 for LTC/SNF facility. I work now in a AL/Memory facility and my pay is 18 and this is the top out. Not much progress for six years. I don't look for things to change in my area, which is SW Ohio. I don't want to go back to school. I would like to try travel nursing, but in my area I don't get the trach/IV experience I would need. What to do....what to do.
  3. Um...that's the problem. We don't see the post where she answered. It would be on this thread wouldn't it?
  4. what was your response?
  5. thanks cooliegirl, this one works
  6. I just tried it and it will not let me access it. Any other ideas? Thanks, Michelle
  7. Hmmm...cold or education, cold or education! I'll take education....I'm flexible and I have to do what I have to do. I can always come home :0]~
  8. Congrats to you! I'll be done in June (God-willing also) but in my area things are really bad. I would like to go right into RN. I've been able to maintain myself since last year, but my unemployment will be running out soon. So now I'm torn between looking for work, or how I'll be able to take care of myself. But I'll look around. Thanks for the info!
  9. I'm in the same boat so to speak. I have a bachelor degree so I can't get any financial aid. WIA is currently paying for my LPN program due to me losing my job 2 yrs ago. I imagine it's out of the question to expect someone to hire a LPN and pay her to go to RN school!!
  10. That is terrific that the hospital not only encourages LPN's but pays for the extended education also. How is the weather there :0]~
