Dear colleagues!! I was reading the articles and notes from allnurses for the last 3-4 years. But I was very ashamed to ask for help but maybe it's my time to ask the word of encouragement as I see how supportive nursing community here or maybe somebody is in the same boat with me. I graduated my school 4 years ago, I was an average student and my school final exam shows 87 percent of passing NCLEX from first time. I failed my first try in August, than due to family situation I was able to take it only in a year and my last try was December 2015. All results were almost the same below one area, only last one was two below and one above. I tried all possible reviews Saunders, Anna Hogan, Davis, la charity, Kaplan two times, Mikle Lunaris and Uworld. I was trying to work on my weak area according uworld and than my weak areas on NCLEX were totally different. I'm in California and we don't have refresher course here. I don't know what to start with, I'm working as LVN all those years and still can not get it. I highly appreciate any help, English is my second language as for many of us here anyway I think maybe the way of understanding material is not good enough. Thank you to all of you again!!!!

Hi everyone. I passed my exam 2 weeks ago 82% average. Thanks A lot to everyone who wrote on the site all those small tips were very useful!! In my turn I wish everyone a good luck and there are several tips that I have: limit your time- the actual test has five more additional questions in evry chapter it is not like in a book. (it was my first surprise). Limit your time yourself as they will give you 4 hours and you have to manage your time sucessfully and you can spend 2 hours for math and 15 minutes for anatomy. There is no official break if you will leave for break the time will not stop. English is pretty simple, vocabulary- study the whole list that is the the textbook (such term as overt, feasible), math - conversion, ratio, inch, oz-ml, the calculator is in the program. Science: chemistry basic- atom structure, solubility, acidity, enzymes, proteins structure; anatomy and physiology - use your anatomy notes, (I used the sceince test for enterance exam for nurses KAPLAN) and all the tips on book just follow it - lymphatic system: hormones 2 or 3 questions, heart. Biology structure DNA, RNA, Mitosis, Meosis all stages what you have at the end of each process, trascription, translation, genes. Practice, practice, practice. Good luck to everyone.
