I finish my classess in June, 2008.,and got my RN lisence in July 2011. Since then I'm trying to get a job in South California,LA area(can't reocateI have a family , kids),but............. can't find anything. I filled out over 130 applications.Hospital says :"Go for a start to a nursing home/hospise care". Nursing homes/hospise says:"Go to a hospital first".I also have some problem to fill out application online, they have a requirement field, but didn't give me a choise to choose a country(for examle: my education info, gives only US states, but i finish my high school in another country.Or New Grad position asking for my previous work experience, and it's a required field to filll out,and did not accepting an application without it.Come on !!! It's New Grad position , what work experience??!!!). Sorry ,but I find that very "not smart". Who create those aplications?! I went in person to the HR, but they just gave me an email to apply. I think applying in person works better.I feel like a robot respond to my applications. But this is just my opinion. Any suggestions? Pliz HELP:uhoh3: It's like u will get a job if u have an experience, but to get an experience u have to get a job.:sstrs:

Hello. Hope ur doing well. I understand u. I havee two kids. My sugestion will be divide the study time .4 example : do 20 quest, then break(I know with the baby it's almost impossible....lol), then another 20.......ect.... Hope this help

Hello again.:)Yes , please poste , coz ur praying helped me, & I want go to church 4u. I'm doing good(my kids on vacation now), but I can't find a job. Rejection everywhere. They asking 4 an experience(hospitals).It's really hard. But God is big,& I'm not loosing my hope, 2 find something. I'm wishing u very best, my friend:)

Thank u 2 u 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes , I went to board after the Kaplan........One more sugestion: I did 75-150 quest /day(studied 4-5 hr /day), when I felt tired took a rest for a day, & then started again. I begun with 58%(on the 4000 quest), then reached 77% & above. 2 weeks before the test my scored droped to 72-even 68%. Then somebody from this site told me that it's very comon before the test, & now it's proved by me......lol......good luck, good luck, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have a nice studying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

HELLO. Hope ur doing ok. Yes , first I did kaplan, then nsbn. Before nursing exell i did 4000 cd questions. In the very begining I read Sanders, but @ the end I didn't remember the begining...lol...Then ,friend of mine sugested do the questions & carrefuly read the rationals.(4000 quest. very familiar with 3500).That's all I did 4 the last time.But ,again nursing exell is the best. Their material help to understand the nclex questions & how corectly answer to them.How read the qestions........I posted earlier here some little tips, which helped me a lot.I learned meds by their endings, & most common side & adverse effect. But my praying & believing to passing the test helped me the most. What else can I say........I wish u best of luck.God bless u.Any questions welcomed.And one last thing: it's impossible to know everything, & nclex doesn't expect u 2 know everything. :tku::tku::tku::grpwlcm:I took Kaplan too back in 2009. But it didn't work 4 me. I also took nsbn, didn't work either. My sugestion will be NURSING EXELL, kinda expensive($500), but really worth it. It helped me pass the test(actually , friend of mine took it, & shared info with me).Also i would recomend Lacharity book. One more thing- stick to one study material.Good luck

May i suggest u some study plan that i used to do. I started with 4000quest cd(75-150 quest /day).I carefuly red rationals, trying to understand why should i answer one way over another. For example: 1st quest: pt tells the nurse , that he has a pain and requesting for medication. answer: you have to assess first, coz u don't know how severe his pain is. 2nd quest: pt tells the nurse, that he has a SEVERE pain and requesting for medication. answer: implement( give the med), coz aqssessment (SEVERE PAIN) already done in the question. Pay attention to the priority pt.( i posted erlier), it helped me a lot. and then i chose one material( it's very important t stick to one book, one notes, otherwise u'll be confused), and red whenever i feel weeknes to answer questions corectly. i divided meds by group and learned them by endings, don't be scared from them( i've got only 6 medication on the test). After a while i did Lacharity book, it helped me in deligation questions. That was my plan. I wish u very best of luck , my friend, and please, don't loose ur hope.Just study and believe. thank u sooooo much.hope u and ur family doing well. My teacher from the nursing school always told as:" never loose ur hope . It's always a light in the end of the tonnel". And i always remember that.trust me- i don't know everything, but i'm pass. This time i was a believer, bigger than ever. I always pray, and believe in my mind. I sayd to myself that i'm gonna do the best with god's help. I always telling myself that i'm not gonna stop, until i pass.yes, i was anxious too, but i worked to block anxiety and fear. They are very bad friends.they blocking ur mind and thinking, take them out and don't let them comeback . Make a study plan. U know a lot.i'll pray for u. U can do it. Any questions welcome.:)

thank u sooooo much. For this time i used nursing exell(10 day course-$500). It helped me a lot. Whenever they sayed to pay attention , i remebered on the test, and it helped me to answer the questions. I really loved their material.i wud sugest this course to everybody.good luck and thanks agayn :)
