  1. Hi kmckenney616, I recently had 3 interviews got hired by all three ended up having to make a tough choice since all three were something I would enjoy. It took about a month from interview to getting hired. I am currently enrolled in an out of state RN-BSN program that I will start in January, but I failed to put that in my resume so that didn't play a factor for getting the interview or job offer. Have you had any luck? Have you heard back from your interview? I am crossing my fingers for you, I know how frustrating and a little scary it can be looking and waiting for a job.
  2. Hi kmckenny616, I didn't graduate here but just recently relocated from Texas and got my license in August and I have been applying EVERYWHERE. I haven't received any calls or anything, but I have my ADN don't know if that is a factor. But yes I have noticed it is very competitive here. By the way how did your interview go?
  3. thank you lovelymo79 and tewdles, my plans to move have been delayed awhile for financial reasons but i am looking forward to making that move one day :)
  4. Hey Klackey! I sent you a message to your personal email :)

  6. hey Klackey i think this is what you might be talking about Nclex Study Guide if not maybe it will help anyways lol
  7. Hey Tan, In the US you graduate with your ADN or BSN first you apply to the board after graduation to get permission to sit for the NCLEX. Once the board gives you permission (ATT) then you can take your test. Once you take your test and pass you are now an RN. :) hope this clears it up for you.
  8. Hey id also like to join in! I graduated in may 2011 and took it last January and didnt pass. And I was just telling myself that I am going to get started with the hard core studing come the first.... happy studying everyone! :)
  9. Hi everyone, hope everyone had happy holidays! well I just wanted to update my situation and maybe help anyone else out there that may have run into simular situations. I currently live in Texas I graduated with my ADN back in 2011. When I applied to the Texas board they placed stipulations on my license for a insufficient funds misdemeanor back in 2009. It took them about 8 months to decide and then I took my NCLEX last Jan. needless to say I didnt pass. I have spent the last year going through the grieving process and have decided its time to try again, but this last year I also decided I no longer wanted to live in texas. I have also felt held to texas do to the stipulations on my license. So I called Alaska's state board and asked if there was anyway to get around this. They said I could withdraw my application to texas and reapply to Alaska but that they would have to evaluate my situation... which im ok with, im assuming ill have simular if not the same stipulations that are currently in place but at least ill be in the state I want to live in. So I'm super excited and just wanted to share my experiance :)
  10. Just wanted to leave an update to my situation... the board of nursing approved me to sit for the exam... I have stipulations put on my license... such as I have to let every employer know of the stipulations, I have to pay a fine, I have to work under another nurse with more experience for one year and complete a nursing jurisprudence course. So it’s not to bad... hope I’ll be able to find a job with those stipulations (actually im pretty worried about that:( ) but trying to stay positive, so if you know of anyone with similar situation let me know :) thanks and good luck to those still waiting to hear from there board.
  11. Well thank you for the encouragement just wanted to let you know that I called the enforcement department today and they said that I have been conditionally approved and that I will get a letter in the mail in 4-6 wks to explain everything :yeah:Im super excited and send my prayers out to everyone else out there waiting for there good news. :redpinkhe Good Luck!
  12. Hey everyone I am sooo stressed! Let me give you a little background. I graduated in May from an RN program and my file was sent to enforcement at the end of March. I sent in the declaratory order and an explanation of what happened. I have a misdemeanor for insufficient funds back in 2009. I've called but they still tell me that it's in enforcement. I'm a single mother of three and have been waiting to graduate so that I could take care of my family. And now that I've graduated I still can't do that. I was wondering if people could let me know how long they waited so maybe I could get an average time line. When I called the Texas BON enforcement department in July they said that my file was in review and that there was 800 people waiting. It's been almost 6 mos! I So need some encouragement so that I don't go into complete panic mode. Thanks so much :redpinkhe
