  1. This is sad to hear. I am starting an ADN program in the fall. I imagine at the end it will be more of a struggle to find a job. Have any of your classmatesfound employment? What school did you attend for your ADN?
  2. I received my letter of admission acceptance today. I am so.excited.. anyone else in for fall 2011?
  3. I am so sorry. The poor mother and family....
  4. Definitely a course you can take over the summer. Focusing only one course during the summer will be great.. your A IN A&P proves you can do it...believe in yourself..
  5. Hello and welcome... I am your age as well. I am going back to school in the fall, hopefully in an ASN program. I have previously completed my pre reqs as well. All my science should go through since it has been less than 8 years, which is the time frame for the program I am applying to. I just wanted to say hey and tell you we are in the same place. Here it is easier to get into the ASN program then bridge for the BSN. That is my plan. What state are you in?
  6. It could very well be in the 'contract' you sign with the school that if you should become pregnant then you have to take time off. While I don't think a year is needed, I do think maybe a semester would be best. They could have this rule for their protection as well. If you were to get injured or ill they don't want a lawsuit. Also, if you needed to go on bed rest, your tuition is gone, so its protecting you. I found out I was pregnant while in nursing school. I was in the sophomore year of my program and had 2 yeas to graduate. It was very sad for me to have to quit. He was due in November. Now he will be starting kindergarten in the fall and I will be going back to school to finish my degree.. I am so excited... Congratulations on your pregnancy and nursing school acceptance.. what an exciting time..
  7. Welcome Megan. This is a great place to search for information about nursing school and other info about nursing... Glad you are hear...
  8. EJacobs if you see this before you go in..will you ask Jim what version of the TEAS they give and if he will tell you what the passing percentage is?? I wonder also if they still do an interview.. I did send him an email about the TEAS version.. Thanks..
  9. Oops I forgot today is Wednesday...
  10. EJacobs, are you going this evening, did you go? I went today and had my transcripts sent from Akron U...now I need to go and have my high school transcripts sent... And refresh my algebra and science for that teas test...I wonder what their passing grade is... And to the AI grass...how soon after the application deadline do we find out if we are in..
  11. You will need to find out how they pick the students who get in the program. Our local University ONLY factors in the GPA of the SCIENCE courses. So you may want to check that out for the school you are interested in..
  12. Thank you for that Lookup... I will VERY likely apply..I withdrew from the BSN program at Akron U when I was pregnant with my son (our last baby).. and now it is time for Mama.. He will be going to school all day in the fall... If I GET accepted I will go..
  13. You have to have all of your paperwork in and take the TEAS Exam by then..and you have to take it there..
  14. Are you thinking of withdrawing? If you are considering AI you will need to have everything completed by June 3rd..I am not sure how soon after they send out acceptance or denial letters..
  15. September 6, is the next start date. Then another in Jan and May 2012...
