  1. Thank you for sharing your experience.I am definitely feeling much better after reading your post and I am going to get up and get moving until I find a college and get my feet back to class.I wish you all the best in your school.:)
  2. Thanks so much for your reply and thanks for sharing your experience.I have been looking around the neighboring colleges since I dnt want to wait.I want to hurry and be done once and for all.I will consider a BSN its a great idea.
  3. Do you know any 4yr college around twin cities that can take community college credits?I was wondering also if Augsburg college would accept my nursing credits since they offer BSN completion probably they can evaluate my classes.I was checking their website and they say they take up to 28 Nursing credits and I have 26 and they also take up to 64 general credits,I have more than that. What I don't know is if one has not graduated if they can consider those credits.Just thought I ask incase someone has an idea.I will appreciate.
  4. Oh thank you for your response and equerries but i'll let my friend figure out his situation now.So do not worry about it.I just thought to post this question here to see if anyone had a similar situation since he has not opened an account at allnurses.com. Thanks anyway.
  5. Thanks for your response. My friend SSN does not allow working that is why we need the work permit. He is not a foreign nurse he got his education here in US but with no work permit can not get a job because he is foreign born and have been trying to find an employer who can assist with employer based permit. It has been almost 2 yrs since licensed. He is not choosing can accept a job anywhere in US. Despite US having many nurses and nursing graduates for some reason there is still shortage of nurses in some areas.
  6. tupamoto replied to FFerrer90's topic in LPN to RN
So was this all online or do you need to attend classes if you are not living in Arizona to attend University of Phoenix?or how does it work?I am planning sit for my LPN-Nclex am 1/2 way through with ASN incase I dnt make it I can have my LPN license then move on to BSN.Advise
  7. Please advice my friend have been looking for an employer based job who can help with work permit as an RN but where we live they do not offer that anymore.Where did you get this luck. Please let me know and I can look it up see if my friend we can apply for the job.My friend already has SSN and the license so its just a matter of applying for the job and getting hired. That would help a great deal instead of keeping license and don't use it. US needs nurses and the license is just staying idle not being used just because of a work permit. Please advise.
  8. I did appeal am yet to hear from them.I hope they say something soon. Thanks for your input.
  9. Thank you so much,I am glad that you shared this with me.Its good to hear from someone else with similar experience.I sent an appeal letter but I am yet to hear from the college,I think due to the holidays no one has looked at it.I am praying that they say yes.If they don't ill have to try a different college cuz I can't see my self going to that same college to start over. That idea of Bachelor's is a good one I am going to try that especilally. I hope and pray something good will come up.Thanks so much:up:.
  10. To go forth with this PN equivalency do you have to be currently in College?I was in until recently and failed one class right before graduation and am out of that particular program. So I am hoping they do not require one to be currently attending the college.I am definitely going to try this if I am eligible.looking at the link I also saw the pharmacology is required,my school's pharmacology is integrated in the program,I hope they can accept that. Please advice more mommy.19 :)
  11. I think if a college accepts nursing transferred credits they evaluate them to see if they are equivalent to their own program credits.Unless there is someone who had their credits accepted it is hard to know-the reason I posted the question here to see other people's experiences. Thanks for pointing that out though.
  12. I don't think they would listen. My college is very strict & this has happened to so many students before me.I had to withdraw earlier in the program mid semester and that was considered a fail so no more than one failure, that's why I need to look for a college so that those credits will not go to waste.Hopefully I will find one in MN or out of state. I can cross state line too if I found a school that would allow me to take the Nclex-PN then transition to RN after that.Ill keep looking. Thanks for your response.
  13. Other people may know,if you have no better answer keep it to yourself.Let those who want to help answer the question.I am aware there are Board of Nursing I can call in all 50 states.Thank you very much.
  14. Thanks all for your replies.
  15. ill look up school that I can test out in SC.thanks
  16. What is your school if you don't mind me asking,am in MN. Thanks for your reply
  17. Hi, Are there BONs out there that still allows students to attempt Nclex LPN if they are in RN program having finished OB,Mental health,med-surg and Peds.I heard those that do requires Pharmacology while in my college the Pharmacology is integrated in all the classes through out the program not as a separate class. Anyone knows state that does not require pharmacology separately to attempt PN-Nclex your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance :)
  18. Any private or Public college will be fine but mostly public is preferable if you know any.
  19. Hi all, Does anyone know a school I can transfer my RN credits.I was almost done with my RN on my 4th semester had only 1 classes left then some family illness occurred that affected my grades and I can not continue in the same college anymore.I have worked so hard the past 2 years in this program just to come out with nothing. I am willing to move to any state to complete the remaining classes if there is a school out there that can accept my credits.I have passed Fundamentals of Nursing,Med-Surg 1 & 2,Maternal-newborn nursing,Mental health and Peds successfully. I have seen similar topics here with people in a similar situation please if anyone got a solution let me know. Sincerely Desperate.
  20. Hi all, I was in an RN program in MN I had only 2 classes left to graduate until recently but had a family issue that affected my grades and failed. So now I can not continue in that college any more.I have done Nursing fundamentals, Med-surg 1 & 2,Mental health, Maternal health & Peds RN level.I can not imagine all those credits that I completed successfully getting As & Bs going to waste with all the work I have put in to it. Please does any one know a college I can transfer to complete the RN.I hear there are colleges in Delaware & Maryland any one knows their names,or anywhere else in the states. If you know that will safe me the heartache and confusion I can not imagine starting all over gain with Nursing school. I am willing to even test out with LPN if there is a state that allows that. Please help anyone.
