  1. I started out by using the Silbert-Flagg and NAPNAP question bank. But then I got access to the Berkeley book at home. I stopped studying the first 2 and focused on Berkeley (at the advise of friends who did that and passed recently). I didn’t think it was helpful. I did very well on 2 Berkeley DRT’s and the 2 PNCB practice tests. I thought the actual exam went in to more detail than Berkeley prepared me for. I’ll probably go back to Silbert-Flagg and NAPNAP unless anyone has better ideas ?‍♂️
  2. Hi just seeing how all of you did when you retook the exam, and what you all did the second time. I failed mine last month so looking for what to do differently this time.
  3. Congrats ProudStudent and everyone else who has recently passed! I test on Wednesday and I've been scoring in the 60's as well on Test Trainers. Our school says that if you are consistently in the 60's on all exams then you should be in good shape. This is going to sound like a dumb question, but would anyone mind explaining how the test was "hard". I know it will be very very difficult, but is it "hard" in a sense that the content was unfamiliar, or that test taking strategies were ineffective (etc)? How is the NCLEX different than Kaplan or any other preparation resource that's out there.

Hi I'm a new grad nurse looking to move to Lexington. Does anyone have any idea about the salary for nurses in the area? University of Kentucky hospital is the only company that shows a salary range. Any idea about home health? St. Joseph or Central Baptist hospitals? Nursing homes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Hi. I'll be starting the ADN program at Cooper for the fall semester as well. I'm very excited about it! Is anyone going to the Open House on Wednesday? I will be unable to attend, so if anyone could post the important info they received from the meeting it would be much appreciated!
  6. Hi all. Are there any alternates for BCTC Fall 2011 that have been accepted yet?? Trying to see where I am on the list now, and can never seem to get a hold of anyone when I call campus. Thanks!
  7. Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what alternate number were you??
  8. Congrats to everyone who made it in! Does anyone know if alternates have much success in getting in? I'm #8 on the list for this fall..... do I have much of a shot?? I met the criteria for rolling admissions, so I'm kind of confused about why I'm on the alternate list.... but hoping for the best!
