I-140 not filed yet!
Hi Suzzane, I am actualy from eastern europe, so the new ruling won't effect me, right? What do you mean by "fast tracked"? I would like to come to the USA with my family. What are my options? Green card or any other typr of visa? Can you give me any info regarding hospitals sponsoring foreign nurses. I have 1,5 years of acute hospital experience in ICU. I would like to gain CCRN creditential from American Association of Critical Care Nurses. At the moment I study for a BSN degree through distance learning from Excelsior College, NY. Thanks very much.

I-140 not filed yet!
Hi guys, I passed NCLEX-RN in Feb 2004 and I have Iowa RN License. I passed IELTS Academic a few monthes ago, because my TOEFL score expired. I got in touch with a recruitment agency in NC and signed a contract with them. I got a job offer that I like. But the agency has not filed my petition yet. They keep telling me next week, but this has been going on for months now. I don't know wheather to believe them or not. Can you give me any advice? I know that NC is within Texas Service Centre, which has a huge backlog. Can anyone tell me where I can read the new changes in immigration legislation effecting the foreign nurses. Are the new rules only for nurses from Filipines, India and China or it effects every nationality? I will appriciate every reply. Thanks a lot.

Chemistry Clep
I clepped chemistry in london, uk last week. It was pretty hard for me. I got score of 45. I am not sure what is Excelsior College credit granting score but I assume it is over 50. So I hope I will do better next time. Take care and good luck.

good online RN to BSN program
Chris, thank you for your responce. I am exporing their web site right now. Because I do not have any transferable credits I have to earn them by exams. I think Excesior exams are offered only in the US and Canada. I will be able to earn some credits through CLEP exams which are offered in London,UK. I couldn't find RN to BSN curriculum in Excelsior college web site. What are their general credit requirements? Sorry to ask so many stupid questions but US education system is new to me. Thanks

good online RN to BSN program
Hi! I am a nurse from Bulgaria, currently living in the United Kingdom. Recently I passsed NCLEX-RN and I have full active RN lisence in the State of Iowa. I am starting work as a RN in North Carolina somewhere in the middle of next year. Now I am waiting for all the immigration paperwork to take place. I am intrested in starting RN to BSN program online while I am still in the UK. Can anyone suggest a good program? I am a bit confused on these general prerequisites - I have 3 years diploma in nursing from accredited nursing school in Bulgaria and I have studied all courses like: anatomy & physiology, microbiology, nutrition, development psychology and so on - do I need to take them again? How can I make up for missing credits? Any suggestions will be very much appreciated! Thanks very much!

RN to BSN
Tooter, Canyon prices are $400 a course, not a credit. Each course contains 4 credits, so 1 credit is $100. Canyon is accreditated with: 1. Central States Consortium of Colleges and Schools 2. The National Board of Education Is this accreditation alright? I have no idea which accreditation is OK and which isn't!:uhoh21: Thanks :balloons:
