Hi guys, my name is Karla, and Im a 1st semester student at Nova- Fort lauderdale campus, I know how all of you are feeling, but my advice is to be patient, when I applied back in march 2011 Nova received over 1000 applications for 180 sits, students that are done with the prereqs and with the highest GPA are accepted first. Well, I do not have any back-up plans because FAU and FIU only accept students once a year, I want to get a Bsn degree so we do not have many choices I guess if I don't get in I would just have to wait for the next one, how about you?

I dont know whats going to happen with all of us that had or still have classes pending. The recruiter told me that they give priority to the ones that were already done with ALL the pre-reqs, and people that were not done get deffered to the next semester. Does anybody know someone that got in the program while they had classes pending? Im extremely worry I just got my AA a week ago and my GPA is 3.7, I might not get in the program.

This wait is killing me. My friend is a Baptist Schoolarship, she signed a contract for 3 years and they will pay her 21 dollars per hour, I dont know if is worth it. My other friend just finish nursing as well and she is making 28/hour.

Hi Nicole, Im still taking some classes (im doing really good), my GPA would be 3.8 after this, but Ashley ( the recruiter for central- fort lauderdale) told me it would not help me, because we will not get the grades till the end of may so it would not help, they only count the current GPA that is in the application right now. My friend also told me that they give priority to students that are already done with their classes, meaning they have the classes completed and it shows in their transcripts, which is not my case, cause' im still taking some classes, however I will sent my transcripts again in May.

Hi Nicole, They say the end of May, but I spoke to a friend of mine, and last year when she applied she got her letter the first week of May, when I talk to the recruiter I was told that this semester they were going to accept more student because of the Baptist Schoolarships, my overall GPA is 3.6, whats yours? the wait is killing me to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you going to apply for the schoolarship?
