  1. I forgot to say that I am considering online programs. I had my RN-BSN program online and I enjoy the flexability. I live in Nashville, TN and would love to go to Vanderbilt but the large price tag is out of reach for me!! I am considering The University of Cinci, Saint Louis University, and The University of North Dakota so far. Any other online programs that anyone knows about would be awesome. I have heard that The University of South Alabama is no good, does anyone have experience with this? Thanks for the replies.
  2. Hello all, I am trying to decide what kind of NP to become and have been thinking about PMHNP. I was wondering if anyone has input on what schools to apply to and what ones to stay away from? I have worked as a RN for 2 years now and will finish a RN-BSN program next month with around a 3.2 GPA. My GPA is okay but I am worried I will not get in anywhere. I worked in the county jail for my first job and loved the psych part of it. Any other information or personal experiences on this topic would be appreciated, thank you!
  3. When I used to work nights one time I woke up after only being asleep a short time ran out into the living room and told my boyfriend that there were huge bugs flying around the room everywhere. I then realized I was sleeping and went back to bed! I never could get used to nights so I switched back to days.
  4. I just ordered the book you suggested! thanks for the reply :)
  5. I am wondering the same thing so I hope someone replies! I start on the 30th as a mother/baby nurse I am sooo excited! Good luck to you.
  6. Hello all, I have been a corrections nurse for the past year and just accepted a position as a postpartum/newborn nursery RN. I know that this is the right area for me but I have been out of school for a year and have no experience in this area at all besides clinicals. I want to be as prepared as I can and have about 2 weeks before I start the new job. Can anyone suggest reading materials, websites, anything to help me out?? They are going to set me up with NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. once I start. I will also be floating to NICU, OB and training in lactation. Thanks!
