Hi Samwana, To get started, you will need to incorporate and also to check with your state to see if a staffing agency license is needed. (i.e. one is required in NY and FL). I work on the Telemetry Floor at Chandler Regional Hospital, and they offer a program that will pay for your tuition in Nursing School and offer you a position on the floor as a Nurse Extern. I would recommend doing whatever it takes to get the CNA Pre-req out of the way, as they are a lot of great opportunities once you are in the Nursing Program. I also know that some Nursing Homes offer the CNA program free, but then you have to work for them for six months. You will have to check around, I'm not sure which ones are offering the program. Another idea - check to see if Chandler is hiring PT at this time. If so, then they would pay for your CNA program as long as it is on the way to the RN. Also ask Banner, they might do the same thing.

When I was in Nursing School, over 80 percent of the class were people seeking second careers or Mothers who were finally able to go back to school as their children reached the later teen age years. Among the RN Graduates - A retired Navy officer, a retired construction worker, and a friend of mine, who happend to be a Grandmother in her 50's. This was seven years ago when I graduated, and I still see her out there working on the Telemetry floor!

Hello, I am an RN in Arizona working at Chandler Regional Hospital. We have a program where they will pay for your tuition if you are in Nursing School, regardless of job title...then you agree to work as RN there for 2 years. My sister is starting Nursing School at CCP and is looking for hospitals in the NE Philadelphia area that have a similar program. Does anyone know of any hospitals in Philadelphia that offer this benefit? Thanks Please send me a private message (PM).
