  1. I'm a new RN grad and have been on many interviews. The average pay for hospital RN is 22-23/hour. LTC 22-24/hour, home care 22-30/hour, office 16-18. Good luck in your job search.
  2. Hi everyone, I am a new RN who had a strong desire to enter the specialty field of L&D. I landed the job of my dreams but was unable to continue my employment due to problems with my long-time business that needed to be settled. I have now closed my business and am ready to reenter the nursing field (as a new grad). I have been offered several great opportunities working in LTC. I have also noticed that the hospital I was employed at for a short 3 months has job postings in L&D. I am having mixed emotions on which job to persue. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. I need to make up my mind quickly!!!!
  3. I just accepted a position at the VA. I was led to believe that the loan forgiveness program was available to all RN's and have now heard from the nurse recruiter that it is only available to those with a BSN. I am a diploma nurse and was wondering if any diploma nurses have received this award?
  4. I was under the impression that the VA offered an educational debt reduction program for new employees. I am a new diploma/associates RN and have been told that this program is only available to RN's with an BSN? Does anyone know anything about this?
  5. Hi everyone! I am a new RN and considering a job at the veterans administration medical center. Does anyone have any info regarding working for the federal government? I am looking at a 12 hour night shift on a medical floor.
