Hey all and especially previous nursing students, I am getting ready to order my uniforms and wanted to purchase a different brand for my scrub pants that I know fit me well. Do they make a big stinker about not buying the nursing student scrub pants from that website as long as you have the correct student scrub top with the badge on it? I really hate elastic waist scrub pants and opt for the tie front pant. I've ordered two pair of Koi brand white pants. What do you guys recommend? Thanks!

I took my pre reqs at Lanier Tech (Anatomy, Algebra and English) and then transferred those classes without any issues to Gwinnett Tech's nursing program and I will be starting there in the Fall. Lanier Tech is just a LPN. Jobs are very limited for LPN's outside of nursing homes and tech work so if being an RN is what you want and you dont want to pay the cost of a private school or university, I would opt for Perimeter or Gwinnett Tech.

sorry miss impatient. caught myself getting an attitude with my family because im so anxious. decided i will go out and shop to take my mind off things.... whew~ breathe!

just got an email that it will be today or monday latest for responses... i'm sure it will be monday with our luck...lol!

ugghh! no response yet! miss impatient i was in the 4pm meeting on tuesday too. which foxy lady were you? that's so crazy that they would add an interview for this friday. i can't stand to wait another week! i guess i'm gonna have to find something to occupy my time with...

i wonder what they will do if they cant come up with 60 chairs from the interviews. will they have to go back and invite more people?

yes olivia. they are picking 60 from 75+ applicans was what she said in the meeting. i also heard from other applicants at tuesdays interview that some people aren't showing up for their interviews. so the odds look really good.

it was nerve racking before the interview... but once we went in... they made it really comfortable in there. and, i had an interview with 2 people i already knew so it was nice to see familiar faces. can't wait to next friday to see who gets in.

i made a 97 and i have a 3.7 gpa. i was accepted!

i got a 97 without studying and was also accepted into the program for spring 2011.

i was accepted but turned down my seat because i really want to get my rn. i'm applying to gwinnett tech. my nln score was a 97. my gpa there is a 3.7. i hope this helps!

olivia, i need you to be more proactive. you were supposed to give that person the 3rd degree.... lol! i just checked my email and there was nothing there. so, maybe we will be getting something later this week...

busylife4me, don't fret. yes my information and source are reliable but remember, your gpa is 50% of your score. and then you get another 1-5 pts for the interview. you both will be okay. i've just decided to stop worrying about it because it's nothing you can do to change your scores. all you can worry about now are the iterviews. also, there is a student nurse from gwinnett tech that i've been talking to at my hospital where i work that graduates this year. she said that gwinnett received their accreditation a couple of weeks ago. so we are good on that end too! she also highly recommends gtc and said although it is very hard work, the professors are very supportive. we are all in good hands and are going to be okay!!! breathe!!!!

the average was an 84 and it was for the kaplan taken recently, not the hesi. i too have a friend that boasts a nice gpa, but only made an 81 on the kaplan. i was so surprised to find out i scored higher than her. now she's worried to death.... well, who isn't?
