Thanks UCI&USFmom! I'm sorry to hear about your DD's illness. It's inspirational to hear that even with the illness, your DD was able to graduate on time. I can see that she has a strong will so it's not surprising that she was selected for the residency spot. Congratulations! I hear that those spots are very limited. I was curious about the quality of the clinical training, research opportunities and support/resources provided by the program. I know that UCI has a great reputation, but understand that the nursing program is fairly new. Do you know if most (hopefully all!) of her classmates passed the NCLEX exam? Thanks!

I'm currently in the same situation....did not make it in the nursing program at UCI, but admitted with the alternate major. Not sure whether to attend UCI and try to do a change of major to Nursing or go to a CSU instead. Can you let me know what you ended up doing? Thanks!
