  1. I thought 222 was pretty easy as long as you keep up with readings you'll be fine. :)
  2. I don't think I used my Code of Ethics book until much later. . And I only used it as a reference for a paper.
  3. The CAS is the Center for Academic Success. They have study packets and tutors for every class.
  4. I consider myself to be extremely lucky with the teachers and clinical instructors that I had. For the most part instructors are easy to get a hold of and easy to talk with. As with any course, the instructor can only get you so far and the rest is up to you. Also, there is CAS that is pretty much always open to help students - use them, as they are a vital resource (don't feel bad if you need extra help). You'll learn to lean on your classmates and will form lasting friendships. Only another nursing student or nurse can truly understand the trials and tribulations of Nursing School!
  5. Congratulations on being accepted in to the program! I am currently at the St. Louis campus and I'm 3 weeks away from graduating!! I'm in Capstone right now - I LOVED the program!
  6. That was a TREMENDOUS help, thank you so much! Mental health and OB aren't my cup of tea either. I would really like to work in the ER or Trauma ICU. Were you able to get any ER experience at all? I know it's a difficult atmosphere for clincals and most hospitals don't like big groups of students there. Were you able to observe in an OR at all? I'm currently working at St Mary's in a non-clincal job, but they are extrememly flexible with my hours so I'm going to try to keep working part time while in school. I wouldn't mind working for the corporation when I graduate but there isn't a Trauma I hospital in the system, which stinks. oh, how much do you think you spent on scrubs for school? And how many pairs do you really need? Thanks again for all your help!
  7. thank you! i was wondering if you felt as though the nursing classes prepared you for you clinicals and if you feel as though your clinical experiences have been valuable? in addition, have you been to a wide variety of clinical sites? did you get the opportunity to do any of the community health "mission trips"? i'm so excited to start in july, i'm not sure what to expect. were you able to work at all while taking classes?
  8. Are there any current STL campus students available on here? I start Chamberlain in July and would like to talk to some current students in the program so I can know what to expect when I start classes!
  9. Hi! Are you still in the program? I was accepted and will start at the St. Louis campus this July!
