  1. I'm hoping that they will hire me. The position they had for a new grad has been filled do we shall see :) and I will probably stay here for a year or so but I'm just impatient and want to be in the sunshine state like yesterday :) there are a few Select faculties here too but the LTAC that I heard about is Kindred. Have you heard if them before?
  2. Yes!!! Lets try to brainstorm :) my only plan at this point since I'm not there to network is to saturate everyplace that I can with resumes. I wouldn't mind hospice but that takes away from gaining experience in my point. I heard from an RN that I work with that just came from st. Pete that LTAC are like an ICU for long term. That might not be a bad way to go. Still gain the experience with the skills needed and the pay is pretty ok too!!!!
  3. Thanks!!! I'm not thinking any major cities but I am looking at Sarasota/Bradenton/st. Pete/Madeira beach areas? And I plan on enrolling into a BSN program within a year after I graduate :)
  4. Can anybody answer a few questions for me please? I graduate in May with my ASN. I already work at a good hospital here on Indianapolis as a tech. I really want to move to Florida but it looks as though getting a job without RN experience is tough. What am I up against and do I even stand a chance! I really don't want to stay in Indy for another year
  5. Oh I am going crazy now!!!! I only applied at Lawrence with 166.7 pts and it isnt looking very promising for me. I am curious though if anybody knows how many spots Kokomo had open? I am fairly certain that Lawrence is taking 90 applicants this time around. Congrats to all that made it and good luck to the future applicants. It has been a long and hard road.
  6. I believe I have 166.7/190...Not great but I guess there is always next spring if it doesnt work out for me this time! Good luck to everybody:nurse:
  7. I applied at Lawrence only so I would be interested to know how many people applied there but I am way to chicken to call, lol, so please when you find out be sure to post!!!!
  8. I am turning in my application this week in Indy but Im pretty sure that it is pointless. I think I have 166.7 points but I am going to try anyways. I did not put that much effort into studying for TEAS V, hence my low score of 76.7%. So now I'll sit back and try to not go crazy as I'm waiting for "the letter!" Good luck to all of us!!!!
