  1. Hi, I am looking to do this course as well in January 2018. How did the refresher go for you. I heard the placements they have are only in LTC. How many months was the theory?
  2. Hello, have you found a job already. I have been looking same as you for over a year now. It has been very frustrating
  3. I am on the same boat as you, been looking for 1 year now here in Toronto. Do you guys know any recruitment agency that help RPNs get a job? Cannot seem to find one online.
  4. hi already requested an application package ..would i receive that in my email inbox or in the mail...
  5. thanks so much for your reply.. i was able to request for an assessment package.. the link was very helpful
  6. Hi! thanks a lot for your reply. i appreciate it.. the part were i mentioned bout her being a recent grad and no experience i was referring to a different person a friend of mine.. and your right she was made to do a bridging program.. in my case i graduated 2007 and also had my experience but only for 1128 hours.. with ielts as well, you think that would be enough ? how many years of experience do you have if u don't mind..
  7. Hi sorry to hear that..just read your post and i can feel you.. its just too bad that some people act that way..I mean you can understand if some patients does those kind of things..like if they get condescending whatsoever, but if it's a colleague Oh God arent they suppose to know first hand how it is to be a novice? though i'm not a nurse in Canada..we will be migrating there soon though , im an RN here at our country and yes people like that seems to be widely distributed all over the area.. they seem to love seeing you do it the hard way.. it gets you all frustrated and annoyed .. but i guess we'll just have to look at the greater picture , and think that you are not there for them and you are there for a dream , for a greater purpose .. and if it makes things better .. lots of nurses right now are of the same place as yours.. i hope everything would get a little better through time.. best of luck to you!
  8. Hi im a nurse in the Philippines migrating to Ontario soon.. id like to be a nurse in ontario, just wondering how do i go about in getting the assessment application package that the CNO website mentioned.. i noticed that BC and alberta assessment packages can be downloaded but i couldnt see the link for Ontario.. another thing, i do have a friend in ontario which is also nurse like me.. she recently graduated, no experience at all, after her assessment ,CNO said she still has to undergo an upgrade before shed be eligible to write the CRNE and be an RN .. shes eligible for RPN though.. in my case i do have the experience for about 1128 hours and when i checked the CNO website i passed the 7 requiremnts for internationally educated nurses.. just wondering do i still need to have an upgrade before id be eligible for the CRNE..basically my question is what are the chances that i may need to undergo an upgrade before i can be an RN in ontario..somebody mentioned though that because in the Philippines we only have 4 years in highschool unlike canadians they have it for like 4 years or more, and that alone is one factor why all Filipino RNs need to have an upgrade when they want to be an RPN in Ontario.. i mean with regards to the nursing degree though , i graduated in a 4 year course so does that still apply?.. .anyone who can help me with this and who have the same situation..id very much appreciate the help..
