  1. are we supposed to e-mail the scanned copy if the things or do we turn in the actual? I am not sure
  2. I just called Kanora Jackson. She told me to send the other stuff in with a note saying that I have not received the card yet from the BON! call her quick! I called the nursing Admissions office and used her extension to reach her. she is in there NOW.
  3. Me too Nars! I had mine done on August 5th as well and I haven't received it yet! and now its the 17th!
  4. I got in! ooh yeah! i got in! it took me a while to figure out what was going on and i read the congratulations part 2-3 times for it to sink in. I wonder if I saw some of you today at the info session. I hoped you guys would post it if you got accepted or not but in either case I hope u made it as well.
  5. I will be back on June 16 from India. That REALLY sucks! I will have to have my uncle or aunt check my mail and contact the nursing office for me then. Maybe I can mail my reply by post........ YAY! did anyone get the new notice? I took my HPRS in Summer 2010 and was worried. @onedayCRNA congratulations in advance! I think that the physical exams have to be within one year. you might want to check it with them and QUICK! deadline is May 2.
  6. aaaarrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20th of MAY!!! seriously!!:spbox: I've been waiting this long and I have to wait till next month?!!!! what sucks more is I will leave to India on May 10th and I won't be able to check my mail!!!:grn: Also.............the list of stuff to turn in makes me wonder if I forgot to turn in something. Is there any way we can find out if our application was complete? or do we not even get a chance once we turn it in?
  7. noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was hoping i would get it today or tomorrow! i kept checking the mail too...... argh! i want to know now! i need to go to India soon too so i was hoping to hear from them before i left. well intending (but not really. they just want to see me married off) relatives keep asking me when I will get accepted and i.............got tired and kind of sort of told them that i already got in..............
  8. from watching my mom I say that you should not make the mistake of underestimating your RA. It can seriously destroy both you and in turn your loved ones if you do. Taking on a stressful job can leave you bawling like a baby and unable to move for a long time. try to work shorter hours. I don't know much but how does working in a clinic sound? its the lifting, turning and standing for a long amount of time that you need to avoid. it takes a toll. and since it seems like your hands are already affected, you really need to avoi places that use the written method for nurses notes and stuff. my mom uses her other hand or something to poke the keys on a comp when her index finger acts up. she can't bend it anymore. I hear that night shifts are easier on the body too at certain places. but please don't underestimate it cause the RA can easily have you unable to function as you wish and leave you hating yourself for it (especially if you have a lot of pride in your work) and you might break and hurt loved ones and go down in a spiral of regret......even before you realize it. congrats on making it to senior year by the way:clpty:!
  9. my hope.................as time passes is waning. April 15 is soooooo faaaarrrr away! I am scared that the won't send out letters on time again or that I won't get in this time either. gah! I have never really officially applied to any program before. I never got the chance. Either classes didn't transfer (more than once) or paperwork wasn't enough or schools changed course content. I spent a hundred dollars to take the TEAS V test and got an excellent score but 26 of my credits from previous classes didn't transfer:crying2:. It would really be nice if all of us got in:D! yay! we could form study groups and discuss strategy and stuff:idea:!
  10. To be honest I am not sure how many points I have. I don't know if I turned in the right thing. It might be last minute jitters or something but I feel DOOM is just around the corner. If I turned in everything and all goes according to plan (it never does:crying2:) I will have a 19; or was it 18? But if I attached the wrong proof of CNA experience then its a -2. If I miscalculated my GPA, its a -1 or -2. If I misplaced any of the other stuff then I simply don't get in...........I have done that before, i wouldn't be surprised if i did it again. I wish they would hurry up the process. Thinking about doomsday (April 15) and what my mailbox will contain is not good for my health!:sofahider
  11. yes, i want to know how i went as well. let us know :)
  12. wow! I have no idea but I just wanted to wish you luck. Its hard to get jobs these days. Doctors doing interviews? I have never heard of that before. I have heard of a group of nurses, staff members, managers, higher ups........ anyways, I will keep you in my prayers.:)
  13. My mother is a nurse and has been for 30 years. She got diagnosed with RA a few years back when one day her headache got terrible and had to be rushed to the ER. I was fresh out of high school then and was scared. She had known it for some time but kept quiet to keep the bills down and the family reassured. Its gotten worse over the years and her joints swell up. Even then she still gos to work. She stopped taking the pills because it was bad for her. it affected her immune system terribly and she couldn't take it. Now I make her Aloe Vera juice every day and she drinks it before going to work. She says that it helps a lot. Its not foolproof or a pain suppressant. But it somehow works just enough. It tastes bad but my mom's awesome for sticking to nursing for my family. She is the breadwinner. It depends on the will power and the personality. my mom doesn't get depressed easy and can handle pain very well. She has the rest of us to take her work stress and frustrations on .
  14. Hey, I am also applying for the fall program. I wanted to apply for the spring but my math didn't transfer. i ended up retaking it and had to apply for the fall. It said that we would get our results by April 15 but I can't keep myself from my mailbox. Hopefully we both get accepted :)
