  1. Franlondon, You're right it's not really verbalizing understanding! These are great resources, I didn't know about teach back! I'll spend more time checking them out!
  2. Lol, yep it's pretty vague, so any clarification will be an improvement! I'll talk to my manager and see if we can put a form like that through to Forms Committee (everything in the chart has to go through those guys...yuck!), until then, any suggestions for additions/changes to my narrative charting would be great. We do have forms for outpatient procedures that pts can sign, so maybe I can riff off one of those - most of the teaching I do is for pts who will have inpatient procedures though.
  3. Folks, I do a lot of surgery teaching (I work in an out patient breast cancer clinic) and am wondering if I can improve my narrative charting on the teaching I do with the patients? I usually write something like " Provided with written and verbal pre-operative instruction. Patient and family verbalize understanding and will contact the nurse with questions as they arise." Am I missing something? Help! Thanks Party People! Superplum
  4. I interviewed with ----- as well for RR NICU. Same goes for me. If I hear anything I'll post. Thank you, and congrats to everyone who was accepted for positions!
  5. Also interviewed with NICU and felt pretty good about it. There was definitely a lot of interviewees in HR, but everyone was sweet and the HR team made everything a piece of cake. Honestly just happy to finally have some nursing interview experience, LOL! RNnicu42 - Good Luck! :)
  6. Got a call for NICU today! Eeek! They're still calling folks, so keep the faith people! :)
  7. I'm a little suspicious of the dates on the first page of this thread as my friends and I were given FOUR potential interview dates, not three. Dates were listed as 11/9, 11/10, 11/15 and 11/29 and the first page of the thread is missing 11/29. Anyone who's gotten a call, SUPER CONGRATULATIONS! And if you haven't gotten one (like me - eek!) we just need to be patient and cross our fingers!Good luck everyone!
