  1. West Coast University BSN program- EXPERIENCE

Pre-reqs was fine, then Funds came around and the ONLY instructor who teaches it is one useless person, and with her passive-aggressive attitude once you ****** her off...oh no. Memorize the book from page 1 to the end. The instructor doesn't help yo...
  2. Hi. I'm in my first term of Nursing. I'm taking Fundamentals, the lab, and intro to professional nursing in which I'd like to drop to focus on fundamentals. I just took my first quiz for fundamentals and got a whooping 66%. Granted, I didn't read th...
  3. ^Yes. Definitely a couple books at least that already has the material outlined. I have the Hogan (red) book right now and I'm going to start reading it plus doing nclex style questions. Still waiting on my fundamentals success book. I think it was ...
  4. If you take all your prerequisites at a CC, you'll save yourself over $30,000 to $40,000. The North Hollywood campus has higher passing rates then the other campuses. Within the 80's is good IMO. St. Mary's college (which is a more known prestige ...
  5. They got accredited in Nov-Dec of 2011. They have a problem with the AACRAO though. That could prevent you from transferring over to CSU for example.
  6. Yesterday I felt like crap, but today I feel better about it. Worst comes to worst...CSULA can go to h***. I'll take my N.P program elsewhere. Maybe even USC. I'll worry about it later.
  7. Yeah no way. Online programs are sketchy in my opinion. So I've gotten in contact with the director of admissions and the executive director. So far so good. The E.D has a good point, might have been overlooked. The accreditation is only 4-5 months o...
  8. Okay here's important info for anyone concerned over WCU's newly WASC accreditation. I called CSULA to see if I could transfer over with a BSN from WCU. They said NO. Why? They haven't reported it to the AACRAO. CSULA basically checked their director...
  9. Nope. You can get the paper work started and in the end (before you start signing financial aid papers RIGHT in the end) you can decide to pull back. I did it last year when I found out they weren't WASC accredited. The first thing I did was have a c...
  10. Yep. They'll be pushy towards you when you go to a info session too. They made me "apply" once I walked in that door.
  11. At the info session? No. You'll need to bring official transcripts. They'll have the person in charge of transfers go through it, and contact you within 2-3 days.
  12. Pre-requisites I guess, and it got more expensive this year.
  13. Are you sure? Most Chemistry classes are 4 credits including the lab. WCU's is 5 credits. Around 94,000.
  14. I knocked off all pre-reqs except cultural pluralism, pathophysiology (such an unusual pre-req) and biochemistry (which is BS, excuse my language). I just bought the book and it's an integrated course of inorganic, organic, and biochem. I took a cour...
  15. My main concern is if Cal State L.A will accept the B.S.N degree and the credits so I can take the Master's program there. I want to be a Nurse Practitioner. I won't have a problem finding work at all.
  16. Could've been much easier to say 'you'll pass if you average out 76% between the course and the ATI test' lol.
  17. Um, she said that if you get a 80% or above by the end of the course BUT get a 72% (not passing), it won't effect you; you still pass.
  18. So in short, what you're saying is that if you do good in 'X' Nursing course (above 76%), you won't have to take the ATI exam in the end?
  19. That's either the ATI (current) or HESI.
  20. They accept TEAS scores. I think you have a passing score, you're good to go.
  21. Help! WCU anaheim!

Everyone is super nice there so far, and I've already paid. If you ask questions and such (to advisers, financial aid) they're very polite and motivated to help you. In the orientation the executive director made it clear how the program will be, bas...
  22. Help! WCU anaheim!

All the negativity is from the Ontario campus. I'm going to the North Hollywood campus and there isn't much reviews on it. Same name but the faculty and staff is obviously different. I hope for the best. Also concerned over #4 there. They got WASC ac...
  23. At the orientation, they made it clear that it is more than likely you can transfer to CSU/UC but that it depends whether the institution will accept you. Sounds a bit sketchy in my opinion.
  24. They're WASC accredited now. So here's my dilemma, I took all my pre-reqs at Miami Dade College. My end goal is to go to CSULA and get a Masters in N.P. I want to attend WCU for my BSN. Now that they're WASC accredited, I shouldn't have any trouble ...
  25. My biggest concern as of now is if regardless if they're WASC accredited, it's up to where you going whether they'll accept you. I want to go to CSULA and get my Masters in N.P, and right now I'm feeling a bit sketchy if they'll accept me or not. Nom...
