  1. OMG!!!! So I had the courage to do the PVT and I GOT THE GOOD POP UP!!! I'm so excited!!! Thank you GOD!! I can now practice in the united states!!!
  2. I can't say what the meds were about.. all i can say is use the suffix/prefix hints.. and answer to the best of your ability. The calculations weren't too bad!!.. I'm usually good with those..
  3. You all are soo sweet!! Thank you so much for your support and good wishes. I just wrote the exam for the second time..(for some reason seemed easier..) but it ended with 75 questions. The first time i wrote it, i wrote the entire 265 and failed.. and this time, i don't know what to think. I got about 10-11 SATA questions, 3 med calculation, no drag and drop or any other form of alternate questions. I got 1 delegation question, and alot of "who would you see first". I didn't get alot of infection control (maybe 3-4 questions), but i got maybe like 6 med questions.. which i know is my weakness. So I really dont know what to think. I am nervous to do the PVT...maybe I will wait until the quick results.. i just dont want to jinx it. I hope I passed!!
  4. That's it..I'm writing my NCLEx exam tmr morning in NJ. I've been doing lots of questions to practice. Now I just leave it in God's hands. I know what I know.. and I have devoted alot of time and effort into studying and praying. I'm nervous and anxious. I want to get it over with b/c I am mentally exhausted from studying long hours each day. Please send me good wishes for tmr.
  5. Phewwww!!! That's a relief! I was getting really worried b/c I wasn't scoring high on the NCSBN site.. I'm in the 50s.. I'll keep looking forward and go at it!! Thanks so much!
  6. Hi all, I wanted to know what your thoughts and experience was if you took the National council of State board of Nursing 3 week course for the NCLEX RN. I find the questions are very hard on that. Is that what the NCLEX is like? I find that Saunders is easier with the questions.. and am doing well on them. Please share your thoughts.
  7. I dont think i will have time to finish all the 4000+ questions on the saunders cd.. I am doing the study mode right now.. I've done about 700 questions from the study mode and about 400-500 in tests..
  8. Hi I've been doing questions from the Saunders cd and doing ok.. getting scores in the 70s. But having done the exam once already, I know that the questions in Saunders are alot easier than the NCLEX exam. So I just started doing the 3 week NCSBN course online and I just did the pre test and got 57%. This is really discouraging me b/c I read the saunders book twice before doing this online course.. I should have gotten a better score. The questions are tricky. I'm so scared to write the exam now.. any advice/ encouragement?
  9. Hey Catherine!! CONGRATS!! Do you have any helpful hints or tips for what to study? I am writing mine in two weeks for the second time and am scared b/c i really want to pass this time!! Any advice is helpful! Thanks
  10. http://learningext.com/hives/534b38552a/summary That is the link for the course. NCSBN (National Council of State Board of NUrsing) is who makes the NCLEX exam. Many people on this site have recommended the site so I am trying it out as a last resort. Hopefully luck will be on my side this time around. The first time I wrote the exam was back in Dec of 2009 in Toronto. Since then I got married and am now living in the US with my husband. When are you planning on taking the exam?
  11. CanadianNCLEX, I am doing the NCSBN 3 week course online to see if that helps.. I am doing well on the Saunder's tests but the NCLEX is so hard, you never know what will happen! Best of luck to you too!
  12. Hi everyone, I'm a canadian RN writing the NCLEX in two weeks. I have written it once already and attempting it a second time. I have been using Saunder's comprehensive book to study as recommended by many of you on here (although it is a 3rd ed.) I have been doing alot of questions.. I even have the saunders question and answer 4th ed cd and 4th ed saunders comprehsive cd. I am hoping this will be enough for me to pass the exam this time around. I have been studying hard and praying really hard to pass. I am just worried that the exam will screw me over again. I kinda know what to expect..but I fear that the questions i am doing in the saunders book is nothing like the real exam. I am wondering what I can use to practice more questions that are similar to the NCLEX??? Any suggestions??? Also, for the infection control mneumontic notes, I am a little confused. I know "my chicken hez TB", SPIDERMAN, VCHIPS. However, my confusion arises when the notes say you put the client in a private room or cohort and wear a mask. Take chickenpox for example. If chickenpox is airborne and we wear a mask, should we not wear a gown and gloves? In a hospital setting I would.. so that is why I am confused. If i wear to get a question on the NCLEX that gave me the option of ONLY MASK and another option said MASK, GLOVES, GOWN, which one would you pick? HELP PLZZ NEED CLARIFICATION!! Thanks
