Nurse in the philippines, but have to moved in seattle
hi mae, i'm happy too i found some who i can look up to (you) hehehe... i've been here since nov 2010 and still finding the right path for me. i think i will do the same with you. my cgfns course evaluation are now in the phils. to be submitted to my school. but i thinks i'll take my nclex in ca to speed up having my license. although cgfns is not required in ca, i took wrong step for that>>>>> having cgfns evaluation/ ces 'cause i'm really confused at that time where to have my license. may be i'll aks cgfns to forward my credetials to ca bon so my $300+ will be worth it, hope so. about tofl, have you check it in wa bon? this is from their site: "if you are applying to the certification program, you may be exempt from the english language proficiency requirement if you meet all of the following criteria: country of nursing education was australia, canada (quebec approved schools include: mcgill university and dawson college in montreal, vanier college in st. laurent, john abbott college in sainte anne de bellevue, and herita college in gatineau), ireland, new zealand, south africa, trinidad & tobago, united kingdom (england, wales, northern ireland and scotland), jamaica or barbados language of instruction and language of textbooks was english i think we're qualified 2nd statement?! what do you think??? that mean, i need only to have my ces and probably they'll wave my tofl. (crossed my fingers) how about your friends that took tofl? what are their scenario? why they took tofl? how about being cna? are you enjoying it? your work load? sorry got too many question hehe... btw i'm from tacoma, how about you?

CA or WA NCLEX please help!
hi everyone! i'm newby here! i have a question, i'm here in WA and planning to take my NCLEX in CA 'cause i found out they have less requirements than here (CGFNs/CES and TOFL) i already have my local license in my country, and my SSN. would you advise me to apply in CA rather here in WA. and apply for "transfer" of my license here in WA if i passed the nclex. at the same time i've already paid CGFNS $300+ for the application which i think a wrong move to start on...i'm too confuse right now ... any help is much appreciated!:redbeathe

hi MAE, i have situation like you. you mean it's much better to take NCLEX in CA rather here in WA? i'm processing my CGFNS here but i'm quite hesitant to take WA nclex 'cause they had so many requirements than in CA. can you please advise me? i would also love to work as CNA here while waiting for NCLEX. thank you so much!

hi, is your husband waiting for a petition from you? he can wait for his SSN. my friends in the phils took their nclex without SSN and licensed in CA. but some of them still in the phils cant get an employer in the US to sponsor them. but if your in florida i think you can make use reciprocity of license if your husband got it in phil (CA). check florida bon. i'm from phils too, how i wish i took my nclex there before coming here. the advantage and convenience to do paper works from my schools is much easier and less expensive.
