  1. When I did question it about more training, HR told me that they could give me two more days if payroll allowed it.
  2. Thanks everyone for the responses. I thought I was the only crazy person to think so. I have one more day of orientation and then I will see how this goes!!!
  3. Thats the thing. I really didnt tell the other place no. They were still checking my background and called today to offer me a job, but I was at the other job and could not answer the phone. But I did call them back and left a message, so they would call me back tomorrow!!!
  4. Heres the deal!!! I just graduated nursing school May 2011...I just got my RN License in September 2011.....Got my first job offer after searching for 6 month to a well know Rehab center, which was only PRN. Then I got another job offer to another Rehab center. So I figured that I could have two job working the PRN job and working the Baylor shift on the other job. Ironically once I went to fill out paper work for the PRN position, they then offered me a FT day position and I was excited. Here is the sucky part, knowing that I was a new nurse with not one drop of nursing experience, they only offered to give me THREE DAYS of training. Thursday is my first day by myself and it is not going to look good. I know that I should be thankful that I have a job and that someone was willing to take chance on me but I just dont feel like this is going to work. Am I crazy for wanting to quit after two days???
  5. Thanks for the advice...I really needed that!!!
  6. I start my first job at a very well know SNF. The people seem really nice and Im excited to work, but Im worried about if this is going to be a good fit for me??? I love the elderly and want to become a Geriatric nurse one day but the Facility just seems so disorganized. First of all they only offer 3 DAY of TRAINING even for new grads working FT and their reason behind that is because will be working very closely with other staff members and if you have questions just ask!!! Also they perfer that you start work before you train. This I really dont understand but Im willing to try!!! Then I was never given a proper tour of my unit and so really dont know where to go in the morning!!! Should all of this be warning signs of what I going to have to look forward to??? Oh plus they dont allow you to make overtime!!! But its a dream schedule M-F 7-3pm who wouldnt want that??? Please help...Advice..comments...Anything!!!!
  7. The PVT so works!!! I checked it yesterday and got the good pop up and I paid for the unofficial results today and I passed!!!! Im SOOOOOOO happy!!!! I cant believe that im finally an RN!!!
  8. Congrats!!! I just found out that I passed too!!! YAY!!!
  9. Thanks for all the advice....Im really feeling a whole lot better today!!!
  10. I so know what you are going through!! I just took my test and failed too with 265 questions. It is going to be ok. We are going to pass the next time. I am now looking into new ways of studying since I had so many priority questions. But just keep your head up and hit the books. If it is meant to be it will be!!! Good Luck
  11. Im feeling really depressed right now. Just recently took my NCLEX and got all 265 and FAILED. I am the first one that I know of out of my class to fail. Everyone told me how it was going to be a piece of cake and how they only had 75n questions or sat for two hours. I went into the testing thinking that if everyone else passed then the test cant be that hard!!!! YEAH RIGHT... Question one my mind went blank. As the questions went by I kept wondering when the computer was going to cut off and say that I was done...well once I got to question 200 I know that i was going for the whole 265. Here was the problem..I went about studying for this the wrong way...I used NCLEX 4000 and my Saunders book to help with practice questions and the questions on the test were nothing like any of the ones I was practicing for a month. I cried all day today and now in focus and ready to get back to studying the right way. Could someone help my figure out what the right was is????
