  1. Got accepted into Linfield's BSN program on Friday! Beyond excited!
  2. Optimisticnurse- Just curious, how do you know you scored low on the essay portion? Do they tell you things like that if you call?
  3. Yes, and frustrated like the rest of you. Hang in there guys... there's always next year, albeit not as fast as we'd like things to happen. I also applied for Linfield's normal BSN (didn't have pre-req's done in time for the ABSN), and waitlisted there as well... just playing the waiting game.
  4. A friend of mine had until today at 5pm to tell them if she was accepting her spot off the wait-list (they called her on Thursday and offered it to her). They will most likely have a few people more to call, and then if people haven't finished pre-req's or don't get loans in time, etc, then they will have a few more after that. For the most part though, I'd say it's pretty full.
  5. Has anyone heard when linfield will start calling people off the Waitlist for their normal BSN program? Waitlisted there and OHSU's ABSN program...
  6. I never received a call or email... but that is a bummer that heard they were all full. I expected that most people would keep their spots, so it's not a surprise, but it would have been nice to be a part of it :) Next year, I guess!
  7. 4.0 in pre-req's (all completed), overall GPA from previous bachelor's 3.7; waitlisted.
  8. pnlu007- I just figured they would have a cut-off. You know, they accept 80, then put 40 on a waitlist or something like that. No more than 80 on it, I wouldn't think- that'd be crazy. Just curious what the odds are :)
  9. Does anyone know how many are on the Waitlist? I feel like everyone is :)
  10. I got mine today too. Waitlisted. I wonder how many people they put on their waitlist? Anyway, very bummed, but holding out hope for either Linfield of OHSU. Would so rather get in to OHSU though :)
  11. My mail doesn't get here until 5:00 pm usually! It's going to be a looooong day :) Good luck everyone!
  12. Thank you for letting us know!
  13. I wish we could find out today about OHSU's ABSN program. It is killing me not knowing. I just want to move on with my life, either way. :)
  14. Has anyone heard from Linfield regarding getting off the waitlist for their normal BSN program?
  15. I wonder if OHSU has a more confirmed date now that it's closer to the 15th. I hope it's before Sunday and not after! Oh the nerves!
  16. Thank you for letting me know! I was hoping for earlier though :)
  17. Has anyone contacted OHSU recently? Still April 15th for the ABSN???
  18. Has anyone contacted OHSU recently? Still April 15th for the ABSN???
  19. I don't know, but I'm curious, because I'm on it. I feel like OHSU is holding everything up, so as soon as people hear back from there, spots will open up. I still have 3 pre-req's for Linfield, so this is going to be one crazy term! Already stressed, and it's day 1!
  20. I got waitlisted to Linfield as well... but definitely holding out hope. Can't wait to hear back from OHSU ABSN- would have been nice to know sooner so I could cancel some of these Linfield pre-req's I have outstanding...
  21. Wait listed at Linfield... bummer! Better than a denial though :)
  22. I can't wait to hear back from OHSU to see if I got into the ASBN program... But not until mid-April? Man, that is so far away... Thanks for the heads up. Let me know if any of you hear back sooner.
  23. Hi! I live in Portland, OR and want to apply for OHSU's accelerated bachelor's program for nursing, but there isn't a lot of information out there on it. I've browsed their website, but it doesn't answer all the questions I have. I would love to know exactly what they judge you on in order to get in. I know your GPA and essays are extremely important, but do they care if you have had work history, or your CNA license or not? I don't have any experience, but have a 4.0 so far in my pre-reqs, and a 3.6 in my previous bachelor's degree (in a social work field). Anyway, I want to apply for the program to enter it in the summer of 2012, so I can finish up my pre-req's and what not. I am just wondering what else I need to do, because I really want in. Also, how much does it cost, and being accelerated, is it 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, or what? I have two kids I'm going to need to find childcare for while I'm in school, so I just want to know what I'm in for. anyway, if you can help me answer any of these questions, I would so greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
