  1. UTA would not allow me to take these 2 classes together. I was also advised by a current student who has completed both to not take these together.
  2. Hello, congratulations on starting the NP program. I will be starting next month and was looking into getting a head start as well. I have heard that advanced patho was rather difficult, so I will be starting there. Also for any online program you want to be very familiar with Microsoft word and pp. Writing in APA format and utilizing proper citations will be very important. I used "APA the easy way" Haughton. It was a lifesaver. available on amazon for cheap. Also I feel your pain being stuck on a ship, I am stuck in the desert at Fort Irwin, CA.. it is terrible, but I have plenty of time for school!!
  3. The key is to figure out how to break down the questions. There is always gonna be material that you are not familiar with. Just know what the question is asking and look for key words, time frames, and interventions vs assessments. There is an awsone book that I used that has several SATA and prioritization questions (which is like NCLEX exam) "Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment". second edition LaCharity, Kumagai, anf Bartz. Hope this helps:)
  4. I took mine also at 8 am and did the pv trick, It let me through, just give it about an hour.
  5. I took the NCLEX-RN this morning and got 75 questions.... I feel like I knew nothing. I felt well prepared going into it, I have done kaplan, and read several other prep books. I did the pv trick and got the good pop up.....i'm hoping it stands true!!
