Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program
I'm not sure if you can do it by yourself. At my hospital, I'll need to get either a charge nurse or a supervisor to register it for me. I must have at least 2 yrs experience on the date I register, not on the date of the exam, so either one of them needs to verify or confirm. My hospital also pays for the review course and exam. I'll say check with your education department first. Good luck!

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program
HI everyone, I'm currently taking Vulnerable Population and having an A average. There are 3 parts project called Community Health Assessment. You MUST use the template they provide otherwise you'll lose point. It was a PITA because it was time consuming. And timed quizzes. 20 minutes for 15 questions. The 2nd part was the trickiest because you need to research a lot of numbers (population, races, ethnicity, etc etc etc). Research, Leadership and Management, Holistic Care were also hard and time consuming. Health Assessment was easy but time consuming. All quizzes are open book but timed. Let's just say when I took Research, I swore to myself I don't want to become a nurse researcher. When I took Leadership, I said I never wanted to be a nurse manager. Now that I'm taking Vulnerable population, I don't want to be a community health nurse. My question is, I have 2 nursing electives left, 1 Capstone, and Life Span. I'm thinking about taking Legacy of Family and 1 CoOp. Would there be too much work? I took Holistic Care and Health Promotion together. BIG mistake. Both had research papers to write with APA to the T, book review for Health Promotion, quizzes, discussion board x 2 every week. And the coaches actually read and gave feedbacks on your papers. One time I only included 1 author name but there were actually two, and she deducted 30 points off for 1 discussion board grade. Ever since then I only took 1 course every 5 weeks. Any inputs would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

TWU Fall 2011 Hopefuls
hello everyone! definitely study everything you can for science and manage your test time wisely. i missed 1 question in reading because i ran out of time. obviously, my speed reading wasn't fast enough! i received my score today and man didn't expect to do poorly by my own standard. the average was very low, too. is this common? by the way, does twu require essay for nursing application? does anyone know what the topic is if there's one? i couldn't find it anywhere from twu nursing page about it. i'm using applytexas.org and am not seeing anything there either. to those who have been accepted, congratulations! y'all deserve it. to those who will be taking the teasv anytime soon, good luck!

TWU Fall 2011 Hopefuls
Hi chaos0058, Thank you for replying to my question! I did start a thread for that very question and got a response for it. Her response was the exact same one as yours as she'd just taken TEASV a few days ago. So I'll go with you numbers; you know how they say--hope for the best, prepare for the worst. This way I wouldn't be staring at the computer screen like a loony if you two were right and I wasn't prepared. ;-)

TWU Fall 2011 Hopefuls
Hi Jodeface, Thank you for the welcome! I think at this point I'll be happy with TCC! There's a campus in the HEB area, that's where I'm shooting for. Dallas would be a long commute for me. It'd be wonderful if we both got in there! The TCC deadline is March 1 and UT-Arlington is definitely out for me since I missed January 5th deadline. Plus the HESI test instead of TEASV. Are you all done with application?

TWU Fall 2011 Hopefuls
Hello everyone! I'm still very new to this site. I'm in the process of applying for Fall 2011 and will be taking TEAS-V on Wednesday next week! I'm a nervous wreck; I've been studying for only about a month, an hour or so here and there at night. I'm a SAHM with a 16 month old toddler and is going through a divorce at the same. I graduated with BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State 6 years ago! 6! I'm most worried about Science section as I'm very bad at memorization. TCC is my 2nd choice as I need flexibility and closer distance to home. To those of you who had taken the test, what is the sections break out for TEAS-V i.e how many questions in Math, Reading, English Usage, and Science? The manual stated that there 40 in Reading, 45 in Math, 30 in Science, and 55 in English Usage. Are these correct? Good luck to all of you! Thanks

Sections break out for TEAS-V
Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share the info on the sections break for TEAS-V: how many questions in Math, Science, Reading, and English Usage in the actual test? I'll be taking it on 1/26, been out of school for 6 years! I'm so stinking nervous. Thank you!
