  1. Can you send me the list too please, I live in SoCal I guess we have to find the right place to hire us.
  2. I never said they are done chosing people for the interviews. I applied to a dif new grad program earlier and got an email stating even though they like my certs and qualifications but they are looking for people with more experience. So I'm shocked about that too, its a new grad program.
  3. Well I'm telling you what ---- the HR told me, when I said peds experience she was saying as LVN, CNA, volunteering, etc. Your friend got lucky then, they did pick some in dif areas but mostly close to Loma Linda.
  4. I spoke to the HR today and was told me they selected the people who live the closest to the hospital and who have a lot of yrs experience with peds.
  5. That's cool so you have changed depts, good experience. When you had the L&D interview was it a panel interview and how long did it take for them to let you know you were considered for hire. I had an interview for Versant program for ER and waiting for the results, they are still interviewing, tmrw is the last day.
  6. Congrats to you guys who go into the new grad program, can you tell me how the preceptorship went, how long was it and anything else helpful you can tell me. Thanks
  7. Have you taken the job, if you went through the Versant program can you tell me about it.
  8. Hope they have the programs this year, are you guys working yet?
  9. San Ramon Regional and St Helena might have a program.
  10. KP might have new grad program this year in SoCal
  11. Ganosah2008 I believe that you need to have RN license by the time you have an interview, I have a current acitve RN license, different certs. I'm not sure what they used to chose people for an interview. It could be a personal statement or other reasons.
  12. Follow your heart, maybe make pro/cons list and see what shines.
  13. Is there a way for you to extend the training, maybe talk to your preceptor and work something out.
  14. I think as a new grad and being in a new grad program you can work in ER because at first you are working with preceptors, you already have the knowledge you just need to put it to use.
  15. How was the shadowing of the nurse, are you working yet?
