If I remember correctly, there was only 1. They give you the formula for it though so it is pretty easy! You don't need to memorize how many pounds are in a kilogram or anything like that.

Hi! I figured I would answer your questions :] - Is their TCPNP just the same as a traditional BSN? (sorry, I am confused because it is called as TCPNP. :)) Yep! It is the same thing as a traditional BSN - My insight about their program is I no longer need to hold an AAS/ADN degree because this program is created for pre-nursing students w/o a RN license. Am I correct on this? For the traditional program, you are correct - you do not need to hold an ADN degree/RN license. - I am also confused of which pre-requisite courses I am supposed to follow, attached is the file of the pre-requisite courses that I am following. The ones on the left hand side under 'Critical Requirements' are the pre-reqs that you need to advance into the nursing program. To apply to ASU, you need to have 13 of the 17 prereqs done, and be completing the last 4 prereqs before you enter the program. - Any ideas on what is the average GPA & TEAS score of students being offered admission to this program? In addition, what criteria do they use on selecting students? As of right now, ASU uses a point system which includes your gpa(4 points) and TEAS score (2 points). They use your gpa from the 13 of the 17 critical courses that are listed on the pdf file. So even if you have a 3.7 overall, you can still apply with a 4.0 if you have A's in the pre-reqs. However, you have to use the grades from both english courses and 3 sciences. I'd like to say ASU is pretty competitive. A lot of students apply with a 4.0 gpa and a decent TEAS score. If you have below a 4.0, you need to do really well on your TEAS to even be considered competitive. Heres an example of how they score/rank students: Student A: A student with a 4.0 and 80 on TEAS: 4.0 + (.80 * 2) = 5.6 Student B: A student with a 3.75 and 87 on TEAS: 3.75 + (.87 * 2) = 5.49 According to the past cutoff scores, Student A with a 4.0/80 on TEAS would be accepted. For this summer advancement, the lowest teas score with a 4.0 that got in was a 77. Unfortunately, Even though Student B did well on their TEAS, they would not get in. This is why gpa is sooo important at ASU! - Can the program be done online such as the RN-BSN program? Nope! The Traditional program can't be done online. The program is at the Downtown Phoenix campus at ASU. Sometimes, Mayo Clinic offers 20 additional spots - and that campus is located in North Scottsdale. ~~ Also, I would highly suggest going to an Information Session or meeting with an advisor. ASU is notorious for constantly changing the requirements for their program. I believe this coming Fall or Spring, they are going to make it harder for transfer students to get accepted into the program. So if you already have courses done at a community college/university, I would seek out an ASU advisor to see if ASU is even worth the trouble for you. I hope this helps!

Hi Moe, Congrats! You should just get your friend to scan/email you the letter. You can sign and fax it over to the student services office in case you aren't able to physically go there. :)

Mine says May 1st as well :) I am sure you are fine! My mind has been pacing all week thinking of how I could have possibly messed up my application..or if I overlooked anything when I did my revisions. This wait has made us all so paranoid :) lol I probably won't get my letter til Friday since I sent the letter to my parents house in Maricopa. Good luck everyone! So excited!

Did you just apply to ASU this semester/for the summer as a transfer student? They changed it so transfer students/people who change their majors just can't switch majors to nursing unless they are accepted into the actual program. So if you just applied, your major won't be nursing - but something dealing with Health Sciences instead. They went over that in the information session I believe. So, that looks like a default message sent to you for that very reason. Don't worry...It is definitely not a rejection letter. :)

I called around noon and must have gotten a different girl, haha. She confirmed that the letters were sent out today and we should get them as early as tomorrow/friday.

I didn't get an email, what did yours say? I am confused why they would email you the same time the letters go out. Are you sure its from the advising office? That is so weird! I hope it's not true!!

Omg! I just called the advising office and i got an automated message saying the office was closed for a staff meeting and will reopen at noon. I am hoping that is a good thing!

Seriousssly. Why can't they embrace the technology of today and just email us our letters?! lol I have been holding off signing a lease for an apt because I don't know if my score was good enough for mayo. I am going to be scrambling to find one available!
