  1. Thanks for all the info everyone! It has been really helpful ... I am liking the sounds of Kewlona and Kamloops, they seem like very cool cities. Does anyone know if either of the hospitals there are teaching hospitals?
  2. I was also looking into applying to Vancouver Coastal Health... Let me know how it goes!
  3. Does anyone know if it would be difficult transferring a RN liscence from Ontario to BC? Also, what are the best states in the US at this moment to get a job easily?
  4. We all know that the Vancouver area has average housing costs of over a million. Does anyone know other areas around southern/coastal BC where the housing/cost of living prices are more realistic for a nurses salary? Also wouldn't mind reccomendations for hospitals that are hiring in BC, preferablys around Vancouver/ Kelowna/ Victoria/ Whistler areas?
  5. Ok thanks! I'm thinking at this point the TN Visa would be my best bet... Do you know if CA employers are hiring workers with TN Visas?
  6. Thank you juan de la cruz! I was hoping to find something in the Bay area, Lake Tahoe area, or northern california. Would you think it would be better for me to obtain all my liscences/NCLEX/VISA first? Or apply for a job first and hope that they help me through the process?
  7. Hello, I am a newly graduated male RN (BScN) specializing in Critical Care and Psych looking to relocate to California from Ontario. I was wondering if anyone could please help me make my transition to California easier :) If you could please provide me information on obtaining liscences, good locations to practice, or even specific hospitals to check out ? Thanks so much! Also I had some quick questions ... Should I apply directly to the hospital or should I apply to a travel nursing agency? Are there any California nurses originally from Ontario that can help me ? Thanks -Canadanewgrad
