I found out that I got accepted on Nov 1st. I found out through email. They sent out the email at 7:12am. I still haven't received anything in the mail yet.

It was hard to tell since I was deferred but I remember they said that they don't even look at the Spring class applications till August when classes started.

No outstanding prereqs for me. However, I did apply for Summer 2011 but I was deferred. I'm thinking it was because I had too many ongoing classes

I signed up for a BLS for Health care providers. It's like a 3 hour class. I'll let you know what the class consists of after I take it this Friday

I just took it at my university. Wasn't hard.

I want to know if you want it to be a closed group (which i have set now which Anyone can see the group and who's in it. Only members see posts) or I can set it to a secret group (Only members see the group, who's in it, and what members post.) But I'm not sure if you would be able to search for it on fb.

Congrats on your acceptance! Since we are second degree students, we are not able to live on campus. There a lot of decently priced places. It just takes time. I've been looking around for a month already. A site that has been quite useful for me is padmapper dot com (dot is actually a .) It's basically uses google maps and aggregates different sources such as craigslist, apartments.com, rent.com and others into one map. Congratulations! I think we need to start a facebook group for our class so we can begin introducing ourselves and helping out each other.

I paid for my background check package on Sunday. I just got my back my results just now on Tuesday. Now I'm just waiting to get in the mail the drug and fbi fingerprints packages.

Congrats gbab on getting accepted! I'm from Boca and I had to be in the coral Gables area for a week for my job. I can tell you its possible but I wouldn't suggest it. I had to be in coral Gables at 7am. So I had to be up no later than 5. Mind traffic is not bad at that time but the drive is long. I got off work at 5 and the driver back to boca was painful. When I went down to UM for a nursing info session, it was raining and it took two hours just to get from boca to UM because if rush hour and accidents

Thanks for giving us a heads up. I was just curious when did you receive your background check packet and any other packet after you got accepted? I went to the nursing office two weeks ago asking them if I can just pick it up from there and they said they will be mailing it out the week after. It's been like three weeks for me. And how long did your background check take anyways?
