University of Kansas- CRNA interview tips please!!!!
I don't look too closely at the rankings because what I've researched is exactly what I've read Loveanesthesia. The best a person can do is go interview and see what their gut feeling is. I've heard the program had been under scrutiny and has changed in the past 2 years. I also have an interview at BryanLGH in Lincoln, Nebraska and am looking forward to that. Thanks for all the posts everyone!

Paying for CRNA school?
I am in a simliar boat. I hurt my neck and that has almost drained my savings. Now that my neck is better I am applying and hoping to get in. I have come to the conclusion I would have to live entirely off of student loans. I would defer another year but I am not getting any younger at 38 and don't want to put it off any longer. Do you have any suggestions on how to get started a few months early in the planning stage?

University of Kansas- CRNA interview tips please!!!!
Hello, I have an interview next month: November 4, 2011 and was wondering if your opinion is still the same of KU? I have a 3.1 GPA and A's in the last few updated classes. I have 9 years of experience in the ICU and the usual CCRN, PALS, ACLS, etc. Do you have any suggestions for the interview and if your opinion is still fairly low what are some schools you would have subsituted for KU? Thank you AC

Poop made the alternate list! Still leaves me a chance though. Does anyone have any idea how many alternates they generally select? Congrats to everyone that got in.

CRNA vs Medical Sales
I think it boils down to: 1) Are you open to approx 30 months of school full time with a limited social life? (not including the application process and interview process which can get expensive if you have to travel) 2) Are you willing to be the low man on the totum pole again? 3) Most importantly do you want to practice medicine or sell and market devices in the medical field? Not a wrong answer here as you stated both make good money but are so vastly different in every aspect

Mount Marty Interview
I am interviewing at Mt Marty later this week and was wondering if anyone has heard about the interview or has been through it? Not nervous at all just looking for some pointers. I am assuming from what I've already heard they will be similiar to other places: why do you want to be a CRNA, tell us about yourself, experience, and they will look at grades but I don't know how much grades count here, thats always a hard one to tell. 8 years med/surg ICU, moderate amout of Neuro ICU, and CCU. Thanks for any input you might have.

You guys lucked out. My interview was December 13 the time the blizzard went through. My flight was canceled on Saturday so went on Sunday. I interviewed with only the director because the other interviewer was out of town. It was short maybe 40-45 and tell me about yourself and why you want to be a CRNA. I have 8.5 years of ICU experience in moderate to high acuity settings. My overall GPA is around 3.4 and sciences around 3.1 but I have retaken Chem and got an A as well as Human Physiology also an A. Wish everyone good luck and January 11 is the day I was told they will meet and decide. Hopefully we will be classmates in a few months!
