Hi Faith! When you went today did the advisor actually see the lower scores of the other applicants that got accepted??

I seriously feel like calling the President of MDC, the Dean of Nursing, and anyone else who will listen!! Maybe Help Me Howard can help!! This is really not right though..I too knew about this new selection but couldn't apply because I was still taking MAC1105..and now that group of applicants is starting in August anyway!!! Not fair guys..not fair

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well and getting ready for their classes! As of today, I still have not heard anything from MDC. I had applied to the part-time program with a 3.82 GPA and TEAS of 78.7. The reason I am posting my scores again is because I have read a post by someone new on this forum and under the part-time forum and this person has supposedly been accepted to the part-time program with a GPA of 3.26 and a TEAS of 63. Not that I'm not happy for this person but something is not right!! Do you think this person is being sincere?? I have been through a lot these past 5 years and so have my kids and I am not in the mood to be jerked around by MDC or this person if he's joking around!! After the death of my husband and father of my children I went back to school for a better life and have been trying to ensure my success in school so that I might have a chance to be a nurse and then I read that this person gets in with a 3.26 and 63 on the TEAS??!!? I just want everyone's opinion on what I should do. I don't want to take away the opportunity from someone else I just think things should be fair. P.S. Sorry if I sound a little hostile :/

Hi Fem! Thank you for your prayers :) No I haven't heard anything yet..and now I becoming doubtful that I will I spoke with a counselor at the campus yesterday and she told me that this year, back in February, people were able to apply for a new part time class that should have started in about May or June, however, due to budget cuts or something, that class was not able to start in May or June so those people accepted were kept for the Fall semester. Now, I knew about this new part time class back in February and asked if I could apply back then but because I wasn't done with my prereq's (I still needed MAC1105 which I finished in May) I was told I couldn't apply. According to this counselor, I was 4 applicants away from being accepted. FOUR!! I feel that this is so unfair on so many levels! If those people accepted back in February would've started when they were suppose to then I feel that I and other people would've gotten in now...also they are starting in the fall anyway so I could've applied being that not too many people new about this new part time back then and probably been accepted. Anyway..this is where I'm at now....but thank you for having me in your prayers and for thinking about me!

Haven't heard anything yet either!! Maybe by the end of the day like a couple of weeks ago!! Let me know as soon as somebody hears anything!!!! Good luck!!!!!

Has anyone heard of when the new batch of emails are gonna to be coming out??

I regret not applying to both like my sister had advised me to do. The adviser told me that since part time admission only happens once a year it is alot harder and more competitive. I still have hope and am anxiously awaiting for the next Monday to see what happens. People that got accepted have until this Friday to make a decision so.....we'll see. Does anyone know if people take out loans and live off of them while going to school??

RNfem, you guys have been amazing the way you have responded to not only mine but to other emails! I have really never seen a group of people that have never met taking the time to answer and at times calm the nerves of those who are on the verge of having a nervous breakdown! Thank you again!!!

Hi guys! I hope all is going well...quick question..of those of you who got accepted, did any of you apply for a part time position that you will not be accepting?? I know Dea089 said that she will not be accepting part time because she got into the full time program that she wanted..just wanted to get an idea of where I stand..THANKS!!! :)

Olga told me that the acceptance emails went out on Monday and now that I just have to wait and see if anyone doesn't accept...she said that the part time was extremely competitive because it's only once a year and that the scores were very high..

You guys are awesome and from the bottom of my heart I wish all of those accepted much success in your studies and future careers..I WILL NOT give up!! Even if I have to quit my job and start serving tables to be able to apply to a full time program!

ON EAGLES WINGS I hope you're right...I do believe that acceptance emails will continue to go out until the 30th of June after they know who accepts or declines after the 24. I spoke to the adviser that everyone has talked about..Olga..and she took me to her office and let me know what to expect. I really appreciate you running to advisement though..that's awesome of you! I just have to leave it in God's hands and see what happens...

Just wanted to let the ones know who did not get in...I went today the medical campus and they said that all of the acceptance emails went out yesterday..now the school is just waiting for people to accept or decline so that they can fill in more seats. The deadline to accept or decline is June 24 which is next Friday. .so we're not gonna know anything else until after that date..I have cried like a baby today..the worse part was telling my boys that I did not get in. I feel like a failure in their eyes..I have a 3.82 GPA and a 78.7 on my TEAS and have worked my ass of for 2 1/2 years to get to this..people with a GPA of 3.4 but a TEAS of 82 got in..I'm sorry I don't mean to sound so hostile..I just need to be sad for a couple of days and regroup :crying2:

I feel like a Zombie..I'm just sitting here looking at everyone's post..I have to go grocery shopping but I just don't have the desire to get in the car..this is horrible..I want tomorrow to come already to see if I get anything

We have the I-Phone..we can travel to the moon..we can't send everyone out the email at the same time??!!!??? I think I'm having a nervous breakdown LOL!

Well I've seen that people on this blog have applied to all three so I don't know..just called MDC and they said that they're all gone for the day that they will be sending out emails 'till Friday

Does anyone think there gonna send out any more emails tonight??
