Memorial Hermann RN Fellowship Program - Call for Applications
I am a new grad, graduated Aug. 2013 with a BSN. I am currently employed at a skilled nursing facility, but I am not content with my orientation. I received an email regarding the fellowship program at Memorial Hermann. I am interested in joining the program. Is anybody currently in the program that can tell me more about it?

thank you lala for replying, I really appreciated! My friends and family are advising me to go to UT. My main concern is that the program is for 2 1/2 semester. ( I am correct?) I know nursing school is difficult, I guess the reason why I am freaking out is because the most classes I have taken, when I was pursuing my AA, is 5 classes/semester. Can you give me some advice on their curriculum?

Prairie View A&M Prospective Students (Spring 2012)
I am applying to PV for spring 2012. I notice that PV changed their deadline from September 1 to October 1. (I wonder why???) I turn in my transcripts last week. After my transcript was reviewed I was given a pre-nursing database with the following information: -63 hours completed -University GPA 3.18 (non-science course) -Support Area GPA 3.53 (science course) -Cumulative Department GPA 3.35 -HESI scores: Math 84, Reading 89, A&P 92, Grammer 92, and Critical Thinking 830. Now, I have to wait patiently for a letter. I heard it takes up to 3-4 months. If anybody else is applying for PV spring 2012 I would be more than glad to hear from you, and if you want, share your info with us. (I am also applying at UT-Houston but I feel that my GPA is not high enough for their program.) Let me know what you think!

Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
Hi all, I am going to start applying for the spring 2012 nursing program for the North Harris Campus. The only class I need to take is Pharmacology and I am taking it in the fall 2011. I was told pathophysiology was not required but recommended. I was wondering who was all taking pathophysiology.

Thanks sunshyn_42 for the advise. I was searching for the online course that you mention, but I am having a hard time finding it. By any chance would you have the ISBN??

Questions Regarding the HESI
Thank you for replying. How about the grammar and reading? My first language is spanish, but I have been in the USA a couple of years. Oh, one more thing, are we allowed to use scratch sheet of paper?

Questions Regarding the HESI
I'm planing on taking the HESI exam sometime in Feb. 2011. Im pursuing a BSN. This would be my first time taking the HESI exam. I bought the Evolve Reach Admission Assessment Exam Review book, the Nursing School Entrance Exam (CliffsTestPrep), and McGraw-Hill's Nursing School Entrance Exams. I have to take the following eight components of the HESI A2 Entrance Test: Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, Anatomy and Physiology, Critical Thinking, Learning Styles and Personality Styles. Does anybody have any advise on how I should prepare myself for this exam? How much time should I spend studying? My concerns: -I heard that the vocabulary section that is on the Evolve Reach Admission Assesment Exam book, is not useful in the actual exam; any recommendations on what vocabulary words I should study. -How can I prepare myself for the critical thinking section? -Should I just study the basics on Anatomy and Physiology or should I go into detail? Anybody who has taken the exam please reply!!!!! Thank you in advance.
