  1. And my job submission status changed to no longer being considered.
  2. Did you hear back?
  3. For med-surg? Did you already work at mayo?
  4. Still no call or email...
  5. A girl that works there says she found out early this afternoon that she got the position on 7 east. Not sure if it was phone or in person how she heard.
  6. I called the other day haven't heard anything either.
  7. You should call and follow up
  8. Anyone hear back yet?
  9. Why do you think that?
  10. Mostly behavioral. Be prepared for some sort of patient scenario.
  11. Are you willing to try home health or correctional nursing?
  12. Try CCA correctional nursing out in Florence. They pay very well 33/hourly or prn rate of 35/hourly plus weekend and night differntials. Just accepted a PRN spot while I wait for bigger and better things.
  13. After all interviews are done they will review applicants and notes and make their decisions. I was told it would be 4 weeks so near the last week of May or so.
  14. Just one interview with a floor supervisor and the nurse placement coordinator.
  15. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want some pointers.
  16. It was good. Hopefully I hear back. Will yours be in person?
  17. 30 positions. 22 Medical Surgical and 8 ICU. The start date is July 14th. I believe ICU training is 6 months with your preceptors. They said they were still interviewing over the next 3-4 weeks. Calls or emails will be made around then.
  18. I have applied to over 250 jobs in 5 states. Nursing homes, home health, hospitals, rural health, residency programs and every other position available. I graduated in December was licensed in January. I had two offers from hospitals in Idaho, one from Wyoming, two hear locally and another interview this week. Apply everywhere and follow up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Look at how many schools in the valley are pumping out new grads every semester. Plus California new grads looking in AZ. It is tough for a new grad. I feel like telling my brother in-law to not go to the private for profit schools that are not ccne accredited I.E. Brookline. 50-70k for a BSN. Most positions and grad school require graduation from CCNE program.
  19. Same here strange that the status online remains under review. I guess you cant take hear say for anything.
  20. Word on the street is they have made their selections for the positions.
  21. Still under review.
  22. Have you checked your status online lately?
  23. Apply everywhere. Including out of state. Try Idaho,Wyoming, New Mexico. Set up job agents. Try nursing homes, jails and prisons. I applied to over 225 jobs in 5 different states. Had two job offers from Idaho, one from Wyoming.Today I finally got an offer here in the Valley. I know Yuma Regional offers a new grad program once or twice a year. I believe it is a three year commitment. Be persistent, call and follow up on your applications. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
