  1. Well at least your GPA is higher than mine, which is what I think they look at the most.
  2. Can you apply with out psych experience?
  3. RN543, Thank you for all the information. I hope you are right about the school taking experience into consideration. I have been working in behavioral health for several years (B.H.T in acute inpatient hospitals and group homes), but only 2 years as a Psych RN in an adult acute unit. My overall GPA is 2.75 from my non nursing bachelor's degree and my Nursing ADN combined. Nursing alone is 3.0. That is pretty low, and my best bet is that they look past the GPA and focus on my experience. We will see. advor, I thought that you must have at least 2 years experience in Psych before applying?
  4. I am applying for the RN to MSN track. You? I wonder how many people apply?
  5. Hello, I have applied to USA's online Psychiatric NP program for Spring 2015. I just wanted to hear from anyone else who has and what their GPA/experience/ ect they have. My GPA is low, but I feel like I have a lot of experience. Any current or former students have any insight as to how many they accept with a lower GPA if any? Does experience really count for anything? Also, has anyone who applied for the Spring 2015 semester heard from USA about their application being complete? Any info would be great, and just to hear from people who are also waiting to hear back. Thanks
  6. Yeah, that's a good idea, and rent out there is definitely a lot cheaper.
  7. AZeroGurly, I just got all moved into a place that's really close to campus. You should consider it because I figured coming to and from Tempe during rush hour could be close to 1 and a half hours each way, which is freakin' horrible!
  8. Me either, no drug test e-mail...
  9. Congrats to us all for getting in! Yeah, the math refresher is probably a good idea. I have class Mon, Wed, and Thursday. Im only enrolled in NUR151 thou...no A&P or Micro, thankfully...and what days for you all? I'm about to move to 'Youngtown, AZ' from Tempe. Anyone heard of that place? Don't know much about the city, other than it's way close to Boswell. Brad
  10. I might sign up for it, do you happen to know when the last day to enroll is?
  11. Hey everyone, I'm Brad, and I will be starting with you all in January. Very excited, and a little nervous! Wish I found this blog when it started, too. So is everyone feeling like they've got everything in order to start? I'm feeling like I've got a ton of stuff to take care of, and hope I'm not the only one Are you all close to Boswell or are you making a long commute ( I'm now in Tempe, probably gonna move thou)? Just curious. Looking forward to meeting you all. Brad
