  1. Ok I was fooled the rep came to my home I had a list of questions written down to get answers to. Question #2 was what if something happens in my life to keep me from completing this program with TCN his reply was "As long as the boxes of guides are not open you can send them back there is no problem with that". Well lo and behold this is not working many factors right now in my life and current job, so-o-o-o I called TCN explained all this and the man on the phone kept saying over and over "you had three days to cancel" he answered that each and every time I ask another question or tried to explain something. Ok I send the rep an e-mail two weeks ago and no response not that I expected one but I tried. Last week I get a notice from them they are adding two more study guides and I needed to sign the paper and send it back so it can be added to my loan. Today I called a lawyer and submitted the contract to him for review, I really do not expect to win but I want something done even if I get the two study guides to go away. Also they have a thing with ISU because that is where they have me finishing my BSN when I mentioned Excelsior he kept saying no that isn't where you want to go. To say irritated would be way to passive I will keep you guys informed of any progress, this is definitely a big rip off. Deb K
  2. No I haven't taken the Technical Writing dantes yet, any advice for it. Also I was wondering can anyone out there tell me if they really read all the material in the college network study guides or is it better to just study the end of the chapter questions and know the material in the practice test. I really need help with all of this I have been out of school for a long time and I need some kind of guidance. Thanking you all in advance for your help. Tuckeroo
  3. I am new to college network, I am not very satisfied as of yet, I took the amer history II clep and felt the study guide was worthless, it did not prepare me to take that test. The guide has practice tests all multiple choice like the clep but not the format. I am now preparing for technical writing a dantes test, wish me luck, I have been so bummed over the history, when you fail a clep or dantes you need to wait 6 months to take over. the score was 50 I only achieved a 40, I am sure it was partially due to the time 120 questions very long questions and 90 minutes to complete, anyway I failed not so great for the ego. Good luck in your studies. Deb
  4. Hi everyone, I am so confused regarding on-line education, RN-BSN, I have looked into so many, Jacksonville, Excelsior, UDel, Phoenix, College Network and IUP. I need to know which program is the fastest? I have been out of school for 10 years and I am an ADON in a Psych Hospital and I love my work. OUr DON recently quit and I was not eligible to apply due to not having my BSN or MSN but I am the most qualified for the job, I have been with my hosipital for 9 years so this has most definitely given me the big push to complete my degree, I do have some credits. I also have extreme test anxiety so if anyone out there can help me to choose an on-line school or give me any advice I would deeply appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Tuckeroo
  5. I have been thinking about finishing my BSN through RUE ED does anyone out there have any comments on this company or has anyone gone through them for their degrees? They use Excelsior payment is interest free and they guarantee passing the exams or your money back. They send you the workbooks to pass the tests and the tests are taken at a Sylvan Learning Center.
