    Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre PA

Thank you. I really want to work in NICU or ICU. I possibly want to be a CRNA one day. Does Robert Packer offer a good tuition reimbursement program?

    Seeking employment, need advice.

I personally would not recommend PA or NY. I am a new grad in PA that graduated in May 2010 with my ADN, and just landed a job this month. I sent out hundreds of applications for jobs in PA and NY. Nobody wants to train new grads here. We are all in the same job hunting boat.

    First interview after eight months

I also graduated in May 2010 and passed my boards in July 2010, and received my license. I just now landed a job and start at the end of the month. So do not worry about the gap of time, because even those of us who have had our license have been having a difficult time finding a job due to the economy. Just try to be positive, and go into the interview selling yourself as a new grad who is willing to learn and really wants a job. I know for myself it was difficult to answer questions, because clinical experience seemed to be so long ago. Try to practice these interview questions ahead of time, so that you are prepared. I wouldn't lead with giving a long story about your license, if asked give a short simple statement and whatever you do do not lie. You will be fine, and just remember you have your license now and that is all that matters.
  10. My advice would be to take the job. As a new grad, I would love to be offered any position at all. Be thankful, because you are one of the lucky ones.

What do you think about my interview experience?

I am a new grad as well and also very young. I have interviewed for three positions, and never received a phone call back, email, or letter. One nurse manager even told me I made the biggest mistake of my career by not getting a job the minute after I graduated. You just have to keep applying and move on. I think being young and a new grad is a double edged sword at times. It will get better!
  12. I am going to Misericordia University for my BSN. Only 8 classes left to go !!1
  13. I was 19 years old when I graduated with my ADN and passed NCLEX. I will be 20 years old when I finish my BSN.
