  1. I will... Thank you so much :)
  2. I live near Wilkes-barre, Pa. About 2 and a half hours away. Thank you. I have been searching the Guthrie website already lol:lol2:
  3. I am 6 classes away from having my BSN and I currently work as a RN on a Respiratory Floor.
  4. Thank you. I really want to work in NICU or ICU. I possibly want to be a CRNA one day. Does Robert Packer offer a good tuition reimbursement program?
  5. What hospital do you currently work at?
  6. I would love any information you could give me about Robert Packer Hospital. I am familiar with the Troy and Tioga area. i have being considering Robert Packer Hospital. Does the hospital have a NICU or a large ICU?
  7. I am thinking amount moving to work at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Does anyone work their or a hospital near by, who can tell me about that hospital or another one and what it is like to live there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I personally would not recommend PA or NY. I am a new grad in PA that graduated in May 2010 with my ADN, and just landed a job this month. I sent out hundreds of applications for jobs in PA and NY. Nobody wants to train new grads here. We are all in the same job hunting boat.
  9. I also graduated in May 2010 and passed my boards in July 2010, and received my license. I just now landed a job and start at the end of the month. So do not worry about the gap of time, because even those of us who have had our license have been having a difficult time finding a job due to the economy. Just try to be positive, and go into the interview selling yourself as a new grad who is willing to learn and really wants a job. I know for myself it was difficult to answer questions, because clinical experience seemed to be so long ago. Try to practice these interview questions ahead of time, so that you are prepared. I wouldn't lead with giving a long story about your license, if asked give a short simple statement and whatever you do do not lie. You will be fine, and just remember you have your license now and that is all that matters.
  10. My advice would be to take the job. As a new grad, I would love to be offered any position at all. Be thankful, because you are one of the lucky ones.
  11. I am a new grad as well and also very young. I have interviewed for three positions, and never received a phone call back, email, or letter. One nurse manager even told me I made the biggest mistake of my career by not getting a job the minute after I graduated. You just have to keep applying and move on. I think being young and a new grad is a double edged sword at times. It will get better!
  12. I know Hershey has openings in NICU, but they want 6 months experience which I do not have.
  13. I am actually interviewing for the nurse residency program at Hershey. I am hoping to get in there.
  14. Thank you I will look into these. Another other suggestions would be great.
  15. I live near the Wilkes-barre area, but am willing to relocate to find a NICU position since I am single with no family obligations.
