  1. hi, at my workplace 80% of our staff are foriegn, they come from India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Phillipines and China, England, Scotland , Fiji and Australia. With a good orientation programme and ongoing support they do very well. I guess all the kiwi nurses are working overseas to pay off their huge student loans!!
  2. we have a form that the doctor completes and the patient or family member sign, it is on bright orange paper and kept at the front of the patient notes.
  3. I've never heard a kiwi joke, please tell!
  4. heres an old one Whats geographically wrong with australia?? its above sea level hehe
  5. hi, I don't believe there are any tools as such, supporting the patient to express his/her feelings whatever they may be and gentle honesty I have found to be the best way. Everybody has different experiences so no one approach works. does this help??
  6. we use betadine and only chlorhex if someones allergic to iodine
  7. hi all, what do you want to know about nz. I'm from rotorua in the north island. Worked for 20 years in medical area. Plenty of jobs going there is a real shortage,
  8. hi, if you want to know about the different hospitals do a search for the district health boards. Most hospital areas are on the net. :) :) :) :)
  9. hi there, as far as nz wages go $52 is not so bad. How much rent you pay really depends on where you live. Anywhere from $200 to $400 a week. hope this helps
