  1. Don't sweat too much on the Ace passport. It was really easy. It will give you a video lecture to watch and after watching it, you test out in it. Alot of it is common knowledge on preventing spread of infection Good luck on your start!!! This upcoming week I will be 4 weeks in and I love it!
  2. A message to Tommy2001: While I applaude you on your merits on becoming a BSN, which I am doing as well, there is something that you must know, and I mean this in the nicest way......... No one cares. When you are in a clinical setting, I can just picture you taking your credentials along with you, showing everyone how superior you are to them. Seriously, no one cares. They care about if you can do the certain skills and tasks necessary that could perhaps save someones life. Enough of this my BSN is better than your ADN nonsense. If you are truly in this field, it is because of a higher calling. The love of medicine and making an impact on a person's life when they are in need. I fear for your future patients, if you don't come to grips with this truth.
  3. Amanda123, That happened to me too. It came back that im not immune anymore so I am getting the three shots again for the Hep b series. Got my first one a month ago and I get my second in a week. You need to have the first shot and the second shot a month later. These have to be done by the start of NURSE 1145
  4. I called on Tuesday, July 5th to the Nursing Office and spoke with Teri Hufel. She told me that physical forms and information about taking the ACE Passport test would be mailed to us by the end of the week. It's Thursday now, and still no letter, so hopefully by tomorrow or Saturday.
  5. Got my letter the other day, and I am August Start, and have Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center on Fridays as my clinical site. So geeked!! Anyone else get August start besides me and Purevintage? Let me know!
  6. I got a 4.0 and a 91 on my hesi and I was tied for 31. I was wondering too about being tied and wondering how they decide the 40. I am really pushing for August. I guess Ill wait and see
  7. Yes, I am transferring to Oakland for my BSN once I receive my ADN from Macomb. A very good aspect of this program is that most of it is online, which helps if you plan on working right away and going to school part-time to finish your BSN.
  8. I am right above you with a #27 Ranking, I got a 4.0 and a 91 on my Hesi!
  9. Congrats!! I'm just curious because I know I am in the top 30 for ranking because of what other peoples scores were and what their rank was. What was your GPA and your Hesi score. I am going to go pay my $100 on Monday and find out then, but I am trying to narrow it down. I had a 4.0 and a 91 on my Hesi. See you at the orientation!
  10. I got in!! Lord knows how hard I worked for this, so the gratification is amazing! Can't wait to meet you all at the orientation!!
  11. lol when did you call, because I just called about 10 minutes ago and they told me that they mailed the letters out for Nursing today. So, tomorrow we should all know if we got in or not. Did you call the selective admissions department?
  12. Ohhh boy here it goes!! I hope they send them out today, so tomorrow we get them. I am about ready to burst from all this pent up anxiety. As soon as anyone gets any letters, post it!
  13. So we got less than a week (probably) before we find out!!! As soon as those letters start rolling let everyone know!!! Just my luck, I'll probably be at work all day and have to wait until later that day to find out.
  14. That is an awesome find! Everything is bumped up a week or so than last year with receiving letters, so it's nice that we are able to find out earlier. It'll be nice because Macomb is off that during that time frame from the 19th-24th, so If it is good news then it gives us time to celebrate! :)
  15. Guess what everyone????? Letters are being sent out!!!! My one friend who applied too just facebooked me and she said she got her letter this morning!!! I am going on my lunchbreak from work to go check my mailbox lol. Basically this letter is the carrot dangeling from the stick, and I wan't that damn carrot! lol
  16. I don't believe they do. Your acceptance into the program is only based upon academics, meaning your GPA and your HESI score.
  17. I think you still have a chance to get in with an 88% on your HESI. When I spoke to an advisor about 3 weeks ago he said the last scores to get in were with a 87 on the HESI and a 3.5 GPA. What's your GPA? That could be a big factor for your ranking. They are saying that there is low applicant numbers this year, which means lower scores can get in. Hope this helps! Good luck to you!! :)
  18. I think this year will be also down in applicants, which will benefit us greatly!! It seems to me that everyone that posts to this website usually gets in (Bonus!!) I honestly have been checking the mail everyday like a maniac, only to find bills and magazines I believe last year they got their first set of letters around April 15th-16th, so we have a little bit more waiting to go. When I talked with a counselor not too long ago, he said that last year the lowest scores to get in were a 3.5 GPA and a 87 on the Hesi, which is good news if you got higher than that.
  19. Soon and very soon people!! It's April 4th and that means hopefully within the next 3-4 weeks we will get our letters! It's exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. I'll post as soon as I get the first letter stating when the ranking will begin. If you guys could post when you guys get anything too that would be great to know! Good luck to everyone!! :)
  20. I got the same scores at you jellybean123, I got a 91 on my Hesi, and I have a 4.0. I feel the same way as you do! I don't know if that is good or bad yet. Hopefully we both get it at the same time! Good luck!!
  21. I am taking the Hesi in 5 days, and have been studying like crazy! I have a 4.0 for my GPA as well. I have been hearing different things about who gets in with what scores and GPA. I guess just get the highest you can, and wait and see. Good luck everyone on their Hesi!!
